Jensen JDC218BT AM/FM CD Receiver with Built-in Bluetooth

If you are looking for cheap, this JDM118BT is it. The audio quality isn't bad, and it is easy to figure out since there are really only a handful of options. However, there are some significant drawbacks to this particular model that I think people should know about. I ultimately returned this item due to the following:-The blue LED's are bright. And I mean uncomfortably bright during nighttime driving. It was difficult to concentrate on anything else other than the annoying amount of lumens blasting me in the face. There is no setting to change this.-There is no way to have this unit always show the clock. This is the biggest negative of this product. I could not find any way to do so. It will always show the source of audio (i.e. AUX, BTMUSIC, RADIO, etc...), and never only the clock. You can press a button to display the clock for a few seconds, but it will then revert back to the source text.-The only instruction booklet came in Portuguese. I have never been to Portugal or Brazil, and I don't speak their language. I was able to use Google translate and a common usage of Germanic root words to identify Portuguese color words for the install, but it was still annoying. This product is being sold on the main Amazon site, at least have two books with at least one being in English.-I bought this item because I wanted to convert from using an AUX cord to use Bluetooth instead. But for some reason, the Bluetooth connection would ALWAYS start my iPhone playback right after my car starts. This was also super annoying because seriously what if I didn't want it playing immediately? There is literally no setting in an iPhone, nor in this device, to NOT have its paired device NOT play music/podcast/whatever as soon as this unit boots up.Save your money, and buy something better. Think of it as an investment into your own sanity.

Unit worked great out of the box. Easy to configure. The button lighting was blinging bright. The audio is barely loud enough to cover road noise. Unit completely stoped working less than a year after installing. It was installed in a 96 Chevy truck. I would not buy again for my truck. Bluetooth connected great. It would open you music app or the last audio you were listing to. Close porn with out closing the browser, guess what, start your truck and hear some people clapping cheeks..... it may be better for a small car.

The media could not be loaded.  After about 3 months of enjoying the product, the digital screen froze and had to take the radio out and disconnect the power to restart. Works for about a month and the freezes again.

Stereo sounds great with the radio, on bluetooth, it doesn't have the volume it should have. Tried all the equalizer settings, no difference, loud on, no difference. Dont know what the issue is. If anyone knows, let me know, I would love to have the volume on bluetooth as it has on FM radio.

Got this for a daily beater so I could replace the old head unit with something Bluetooth capable. Worked great for like two weeks and then the unit kept freezing. Tried to refresh and didn’t help. Then the face would stay lit when I turned the car off. Did hard reset by pulling fuse and battery on car and fixed problem for like a week and did it again. Returning and buying a quality stereo.

The system didn’t include English language installation or operating instructions. While I was fairly certain I could hook the system up, I wasn’t sure I could figure out how to access/use all the features I paid for & wanted to use. So I returned the system & got a full refund.

Installation was easy. Lucky the wiring guide was on the radio because the installation/operation manual was in about 4 different languages but did not include English. Unbelievable! Was able to download manual on internet. Seems to work fine and the price was right for a old pickup truck.

Every word is in another language in instruction book , install and operationWhat I disliked is the fact that EVERY INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO INSTALL IS IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE! Not a single word of English . I’m sorry but I thought I lived in an English speaking country

I bought this stereo off of Amazon and to save a few bucks I bought a used one which was about half price. After tearing my car apart to install it I finally had it hooked up and then when I turned the car on I had nothing in the stereo. It did not work at all and nothing lite up. The fuse was good and I checked to make sure it was getting power and it was but again nothing worked. I ordered a brand new one and Amazon gave me $10 bucks off the price of the new one but we will see how it works out and if I get a good one then I will review it. p.s. my advice is not to buy a used one as it never works out and its a big hassle.

First off no where in the description or specs or pictures does it say wether it has a external, non deck mounted mic. However the very first customer question on the list asks this, and there are 2 answers say it comes with a external mic, and it does not. As soon as I opened the package, it was listed on the outside of the stereo box " built in mic ". Second feature on the list, though a complete mystery on the site.....??Apon further review of descriptions and customer reviews, there are screen shots one one customer review of a some double din full screen unit, and 7 other people found it helpful...???!! I'm not sure how one is to trust any info supplied with these products. I've seen the identical reviewes and even the same stock photos on dozens of different products . I think I'm may physical go to a store, just so I can see the product and read the box. Thanks anyway Amazon.

Everything works as intended, looks nice but maybe a bit too bright at night. Can answer phone calls with a mic directly on the front panel of the radio, control your spotify playlist without touching your phone, registers a ton of radio channel as your "favorites", like up to 18. Bass, treble, balancing settings all work well. Loud mode aswell. Big cons was my user manual being only in spanish lol, but fortunately a lot of the words are similar so I made it through!

Funcionó muy bien por un año, fácil de instalar. El sonido es bueno y sirve para llamadas. El control remoto sirve bien.El bluetooth funciona bien mientras no se caliente, se empieza a trabar. En un día de calor a lo mucho funciona bien una hora. Después de un año, se tardaba en prender hasta que ya no prendió definitivamente.

Cheap quality. Have had it installed for a month and the mode button gets stuck, if you hit a bump when driving it will change what your listening to from Bluetooth to tuner (etc..) Buttons are cheap quality when pressing and need to be pressed several times sometimes to change. Spend a few extra dollars and buy something better quality. Also all instructions are in Spanish so any problems good luck, the model number isn't even listed on Jensen's website. Wish I didn't wait so long to install it into my truck, I would have sent it back.
