Pre-seasoned Cast Iron Double Dutch Oven Pot with Skillet Lid, for Bread Baking, Outdoor, Campfire Cooking, 3 Quart

Beautiful cast iron skillet with cast iron frying pan style lid. They both have a handle and the other side has a smaller handle if needed. These things are HEAVY. Each pan is about 6ish pounds. The whole package was12.7lbs. If I had to guess I would say 7-8lbs for the bottom 5-4lbs for the top, with the remaining .7lbs being the packaging, which was minimal and i also like that. Less waste. It does comesl with a booklet and good instructions on how to use the product but I've had several cast iron skillets in my days and know what I'm doing with them. I love that this one comes with a skillet style lid. It will be great for baking/making breads as well as cooking to different items in a grill style.These look super well made, maybe even better than the ones I grew up with, which I do not often say. Most things today are made to break so you have to buy things in a constant redundant cycle. This genuinely looks like I'd be able to pass this down to my kids when they get older.

The title says it all. I had it shipped to the Philippines, as it is hard to get quality cast iron here. Quality wise, it's up there with Lodge and others. It was seasoned reasonably well out of the box, but I seasoned it a little more on the stove top (hard to find an oven in a rented home here). Frying eggs is the real test, and it is clearly superior to "non-stick" in every way. I probably use the top lid as a skillet more than I use the deeper pan itself. Nice thickness to them, works great on an inductive stove. Good investment.

This is a beautiful cast iron addition to my cookware. It is seasoned perfectly, and the quality is perfection!! It's just as good, if not better than my Lodge cast iron cookware, and less expensive!! I love that the lid is also another fry or baking pan. I bought it to bake sourdough bread, but I haven't made any yet. I just ordered my sourdough starter kit, so I will update on how well it does when I bake my first loaf. I highly recommend this cookware! You'll love it too!!

Love it Dutch oven is great and the lid is a excellent skillet

This is a nice set I held back a star because when using the frying pan as a lid the handles separate so if you tried to grab them both to move the set as a single item the pots separate on the opposite side. This is offset by the fact the frying pan will nest tighter into the larger pot with frying surface up. Other than that I purchased this set to replace a similarly priced item that had the finish of sandpaper. I can say the finish on this set is rather smooth even better than one of my Lodge brand pans.I did sand off the per-seasoning from the cooking surfaces of the two pans. I only found a couple of moderate imperfections from the casting process after just two rounds of traditional seasoning I was frying eggs no problem. I just did a quick job to smooth things up a bit more and open up some clean metal for my own seasoning. I do believe you could easily get these pans to mirror finish with vary little work with only a pit or two if you are into that thing.My bottom line if you are after cheap cast iron this was definitely a bang for the buck purchase for me.
