Works only as brake light, not a running light.
I got these as replacements to the standard 1157 bulb, which is a brake light and running light. It only worked as a brake light, not a running light so all is dark in the rear unless hitting the brakes. I also compared it to my normal 1157 bulb and brightness and was about half as bright as the normal 1157 bulbs. Maybe this is how they're meant to be, but it won't pass inspection without running lights in the USA.
