Must buy
This laptop was such a great buy. It is lighting fast, it is lightweight. The battery life is meh but honestly it doesn’t bother me, this laptop is perfect for WoW

Excellent for gaming, but buy warranty and watch for adapter getting loose.
Warranty is limited and HP assistant cannot be used because of after factory upgrades on hard drive to make it an excellent gaming computer. Original specs were 16 GB hard drive and less than 600 SSD. Advice: buy your own warranty. I had issue with Omen not working properly and found out the hard way. However I found an online fix for resetting Omen app which worked. Otherwise, computer is excellent and works fast when loading and stays much cooler than my old HP Envy when gaming. But it is easy for charge cord to get loose, especially at big plug transition from computer to HP adapter--causing battery to stop charging and run out.

Nice Gaming Laptop
I've been very pleased with this HP Victus gaming laptop. It plays all my games like Palworld and other games that require a good graphics card. The laptop doesn't get hot or loud when I play my games, which is a big plus. The only thing I don't like is that it's not easy to turn the keyboard light back on. Otherwise, this is a great gaming laptop for the price.

.
It's very good for games, it supports a lot but it heats up too much and the battery doesn't last long, you have to use it charging that I don't like it very much

Intro laptop
Good intro laptop. I only use it stationary for gaming. I'll upgrade the ram, but it's not needed to play games from low to medium graphics. I play Hunt, Borderlands, Once human, and a few other games without issue. Boots quick and works like it should.

Buy this if you don't want to build your own PC :)
Thankfully the specs came as listed. First thing I did was open up the laptop to check, note this might void your warranty so don't do this unless you're committed. I think the one thing I don't like is that it seems like this might be a repurposed laptop.I say this because the box it came in was listed as different specs, and whoever shipped this laptop (Not HP) slapped a sticker on the side with 'updated' specs. I also don't think the SSD and the RAM cards are OEM, but that's okay as long as they work!I fired up Cities Skylines 1 to see how it would handle and it did just fine. CUP got up to 27% during gameplay and the GPU got up to 30-ish% as well. The fan is LOUD but that's to be expected, if you hate loud noises, keep it pushing. This is definitely not a 'travel' laptop, so if you're a business person I'd suggest a diff model. This thing is H E A V Y. Yes- the top part is flimsy but why are you messing with it anyways? Just keep it upright and you're fine.Very easy to upgrade the RAM slot, I put 32 GB in mine and put the 16Gb it came with in another laptop.Overall I think you can actually build your own budget build for the same price if not less, but if you're not a builder then this will be perfect mid-range option to run most games these days and get your work done :).I bought this because I wanted to upgrade from my Dell Inspiron 3501 that was running on an integrated graphics card and the lowest tier of the i5 family available.Oh- one last thing, it will get hot but surprisingly the fans do their job, if you put your hand on the laptop while gaming you'll only feel the heat in two main areas: the GPU housing area and the brand logo where the monitor is. Otherwise the fans do their job.Right out the box, I downloaded all updates set up the computer and ran Cities Skylines for 6 hours on med/high settings. :)
