Cutting power.....
My son is mixed race and has coarse hair. These corded clippers (as pictured with the taper lever on the side) where able to cut his hair cleanly, without getting tangled. The only resistance came when using the the attachment combs themselves (at points where the hair was at its coarsest) - but this was very infrequent.The clippers are slightly on the heavier side and can make a strange sound when the combs are attached (Only when the taper is set at its sharpest point).However, they don't give a close enough shave for beard or moustache trimming but are more than adequate for cutting off mixed race/afro hair.A good purchase if you can find around the £30 mark (Must have the side lever - not tested the cheaper non lever models)
