Colorful and well made.
While worksheets are so often boring, a puzzle game isn't. This set has nicely made little puzzle cards to help the student to build words with consonant blends at the beginnings or ends. The varied shapes and background colors, as well as the pictures, make any errors obvious, making self-correction simple. I'd suggest this set for the kindergarten/first grade crowd, or any beginning reader. This set comes with a storage bag, though I'll transfer it into a small storage box to make identification easier. It's not a toy that a child will play with for years, but it's a good tool for teaching reading and spelling early on.

Multiple uses
I like this CVC/CVCC puzzle resource. The pictures are cute. The puzzles come in three pieces and are easy for the younger kids to assemble.-Wife

I think it's a bit advanced for toddlers
I feel like for the age group that CVC is more age-appropriate than CCvC and CvCC. The quality of the cards are nice and the pictures and graphics but I think that there should be an age adjustment to at least 4-6yr

Good for independent activity
These puzzles are great for students to do independently. The puzzles are a bit thinner than I expected so I don't know how long they will last. Also, some of the words would not be easy for students to sound out, so I would probably take those out. But overall, these are a great resource for young children!

Great
These are great cards for child development. They are also well made and sturdy enough to hold up to playtime.

Lasting quality
These word puzzles are made of a nice thick board with an attractive shiny front. I love how the puzzle configurations are all similar so it throws in an element of challenge. These cards should last for quite a while, even with many grand hands manipulating them. Most have clear, short vowel sounds. Two of the puzzles use a vowel sound that is not the most common for that vowel, but there is a picture to assist in the reading. See picture. Great 1:1 time with the kids but also individual play too.

Awesome Phonics Practice
1st grade is all about reading. These puzzles give students the opportunity to practice specific phonics skills, CVCC (consonant, vowel, consonant, consonant) and CCVC (consonant, consonant, vowel, consonant) words. I love them. These are great because there are so many words and something special; they are different colors and include pictures so students can use those as context clues. Also, this could be honestly be the easiest no-prep phonics activity. I love the compact size too; easy to store. Awesome, awesome, awesome!
