I do like drinking fruit infused water in the summer months and this should keep drinks nice and cold. What I did find though is the lid is almost too large for my hand size to be able to unscrew easily so may not be so practicable for those of us with 'dainty' hands. It holds approx. 4 full mugs of coffee so is certainly on the large size and is rather bulky if carrying about with you and obviously quite weighty when filled to the top. Good for placing on a work desk if you find yourself cooped up in the office or working somewhere thats difficult to take coffee breaks as it will last you all day. The central infuser basket will hold slices of fruit or cucumber, etc as add a bit of flavour. It comes with both a metal and a plastic straw as well as an extra bung should you loose the one that comes with it. The bung is a clever design, it has a cross cut for straws on one end and closed on the other ,so is reversable and will stop leaks during travel. It does not come in any fancy packaging just some fairly basic bubble wrap. Its very easy to wash and clean. I did find it leak proof even after a vigorous shaking and it kept my coffee hot for a few hours although I only put in two mugs worth.

That being said, this review is NOT swayed by that, and (as always) contains only my real thoughts on the product; good and bad.] I requested the ‘CS COSDDI 40oz Tumbler with Handle and Straw Lid, Stainless Steel Coffee Travel Insulated Cup’ for my dad to take to work. This mug instantly feels a good weight, good quality and well balanced. Not only can it be used for hot and cold drinks, it has a fruit infuser basket which is proportionate to the size of the cup. This can be unscrewed very easily to clean it. The whole mug appears to have been designed with easy cleaning in mind, no sliding panels or flip up spouts to trap dirt. The cup has a dual function rubber stopper in the top which has a hole for a straw and a stopper which completely seals the cup. I filled it up, turned it upside down and shook it vigorously and there were no leaks at all. The silicone tip for the metal straw makes it safer to drink whilst on the move. There is also a plastic straw, a straw cleaning brush and a spare rubber stopper for the lid. The handle is part of a sturdy plastic ring which goes around the top of the mug. It is great for big hands, with a sturdy feel and rubber on the inside to make it easier and more comfortable to grip. For the bargain price of £13.99 at the time of this review, I highly recommend this 40oz cup. It is easy to clean, has versatile features and feels durable, 5 stars.

I've been wanting one of these big mugs for a while so took a punt on this one, I wasn't impressed. Pros 40oz capacity Thermal insulated For Hot & Cold drinks 2 different straws Extra long straw brush Spare silicone bung Tapered design to fit cup holders Infuser inside Cons Rubber lid is cumbersome Bung comes off too easily Sipping hot drinks is a chore Silicone straw attachment feels like a quick-fix This massive mug is impressive at first glance and I liked the two straw options, I dislike metal straws so the plastic one suited me better, I also liked the extra long straw brush which suited this perfectly. The lid isn't very easy to open as the silicone seal is very tight, that's a good thing in theory but I didn't like how it felt like a chore to open and close it, you do need to ensure you don't overtighten it as it is designed to position the straw hole 90 degrees to the handle for the best drinking position. Inside the lid is a nice little infuser for lobbing bits of fruit etc. inside, this is very easy to use and seals into the lid perfectly and easily removed if you have no need for it. Fitting the straw is odd, the intended use is through the included bent little straw, this is awkward to fit over the straw and I really disliked drinking through it, it picks up dust/lint and anything it can too easily and I found it felt nasty on my lips, I ended up just using the plastic straw without the silicone bit, but that meant it isn't as leakproof. I then tried it with a bucket of hot tea, the thermal insulation was impressive and lasted the best part of an hour before it was too cool, the downside was the sipping hole, it just wasn't right somehow and felt uncomfortable to use, I dribbled a few times also. Oh and that bung you need to pivot over, it comes off too easily and I now see why they included a spare. I didn't like the handle with the harder plastic outer, I wish it was either rubberised all round or at least chunkier and more rounded off. By now I just wasn't enjoying this mug at all, which is a shame, I so wanted to like it but there were just too many niggles adding up to an overall unenjoyable experience. Perhaps it's just me, but this massive mug isn't for me, I will be looking for a better one now I know what to look out for.

Considering the hype of the branded versions of this cup, I'd say it matches others available for a fraction of the price. It seals well, with no leaking. Keeps cold drinks cold for hours, and hot drinks stay (too) hot, throughout the work day. It's a good size, and the handle is useful for carrying around. Comes with a straw that also fits snuggly in with no leaking. The narrow base fits into most standard cup holders. I'm happy with this product.
