I have used this yoga mat now for quite a few months and now I feel that I am finally armed to give a honest and informed review.The quality of this yoga mat is absolulty fantastic with the design being stylish and very modern. The price of the mat can seem to be a little on the expensive side, yet as mentioned the quality is brilliant even after being used on a daily basis for quite some months. The base of the mat is rubberised and sticks like glue to any surface, the mat does not slip even when sweaty, so you can be confident that the mat will not fail you in the more arduous poses/positions. The surface of the mat is comfortable, again, even when wet. I like the fact that this mat has been ethically produced and this adds to the sense of wellbeing that yoga and meditation can bring. 5 stars, great product.

I absolutely love this mat. Not only is it comfortable and beautiful but upgrading from a lower quality mat has really helped me perfect some of the postures I was having difficulty with. Best of all, absolutely no sliding around during hot yoga or a sweaty yoga class so less risk of injury which has given me the confidence to attempt the more challenging poses. It’s also comfortable enough for meditation and deep relaxation.

I bought this as I have started doing PiYO, as I am not a yoga person per se. I had a cheap dodgy mat, which my sweaty limbs kept sliding and it was coming apart. I took a chance with YogaBellies and I am very happy. May is robust, super sticky when you sweat, and is flat when unrolled. I love the fact that it had instructions for its care and the purple colour is beautiful. One little thing is that it does shift on the carpet, but I am certain it is super grippy on a floor surface. Good job YogaBellies!!!

The bottom line with these kind of mats is: if you tend to have sweaty palms and feet when practising, then this mat will work wonders for you. If you don't, then you will probably find it too slippery.It works great for me. I use it for yoga and pilates. The surface is very soft and comforting and the design lovely. I bought the yoga bellies bag too so I don't find it hard to take it to class with me. Although it's thin, I don't need another mat underneath as the natural rubber is very cushioning.All in all, a great buy for me as I used to struggle with slipping on foam mats and didn't like wearing socks. I also found I was catching a lot of colds and bugs and I believe this was due to using communal mats at the leasure centre.If you use a mat regularly then it's worth investing in a nice one of your own and I can recommend this brand.

Although this mat is so beautiful and comfortable I had to send it back as I was slipping on it straight away. Spraying with water did not help in the slightest. Purchased a yogi-bare mat which was actually non-slip, granted a bit less smooth to move on but I don't find I even notice it now.

After getting quite exasperated with many yoga mats that claim to be sticky and offer maximum grip, I am really impressed with this mat by YogaBellies. You can immediately feel the quality - it is both luxuriously soft and the weight of the mat combined with the natural tree rubber base enables a superior grip that I haven't managed to achieve with other mats. Even better is the fact that this mat is eco friendly so I have peace of mind especially when practising with my young children. It is also really easy to clean and you don't get the streaky effect or fading that has blighted other previous mats I've used. In my opinion this is worth the money and it has most definitely helped me achieve more control/stability in my practice.

Amazing high quality yoga mat. Pattern is just beautiful and do not distracts you from the practice. It has good grip with surface. It is QUITE HEAVY mat. And for hands and feet grip I have to spray water over it every time I start ( a bit annoying) but the softness of surface just takes it all down:) I bought it for 59 I think its too overpriced, right now its 45, I am shamed I didn't wait a bit longer for this awesome price.

It looks good, feels beautifully soft, but really, I fail to see how that helps my yoga practice, when I am slipping around everywhere. I slide when in side plank, I suppose though it's teaching me how to hold the pose with rigidity. Downward facing dog is really not aligned properly, as I cannot stop sliding my hands and feet apart. I only get purchase once I've started to sweat a bit and the soles of my hands and feet become sweater.This is not a good mat I'm afraid. I am not sure how I stand with returns but I feel I might have to.

Pues es muy bonita pero poco práctica!Se adhiere bien al suelo pero resbalan manos y pies durante la práctica de yoga...y para transportar pesa bastante, no es muy ligera!El diseño es precioso pero no la recomiendo para hacer yoga, lo siento!

Da ich mittlerweile recht viel Sport treibe, wollte ich mir nun mal eine qualitativ hochwertigere Matte gönnen.Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Das Design ist ein Traum! Ich persönlich rutsche nicht weg (was ja in einigen anderen Rezensionen erwähnt wurde), und trotz der Dünne der Matte ist sie bequem.Man sollte nur bedenken, dass sie in der Tat recht schwer ist. Aber da ich nicht stundenlang damit umher laufe, ist es okay für mich.

Lorsque j ai déroulé le tapis, il y avait 5 petites tâches noires que je n arrive pas à effacer. Sur une aquarelle rose, ça fait tâche. Je suis déçue. Pourtant le produit est de trés bonne qualité. Donnez moi des conseils pour les effacer. Je pense que c est de l encre.

I got exactly what i expected. Very nice quality and colors. Liked it very much. If you are into hot yoga it s a definitely good choice.
