I think this is a great little starter set for someone looking to start a hydroponics garden. I got the mixed variety of tomatoes and it came with a good amount of plant food to get the little seeds started.

Never thought I'd brag about tomatoes, but here we are. This seed pod kit has my tomatoes tasting like they're kissed by the sun, even in winter! The setup was a cinch, and the results are beyond tasty. Salads, sandwiches, you name it – they're all better now. This kit is a must-have for any tomato lover.

Every packet grew beautifully. I’m looking for mint recipes because it’s taken over my garden. Recommend.

I had low expectations for this when it first came and I realized it wasn’t from aeropod. I was so glad to be wrong! All 6 pods we planted sprouted within 5 days!! One sprouted 24 hours after we planted it!! They’re all growing great! We are still waiting for buds for the tomatoes (and I’ll update if we never get any) but the plants look fantastic!

This kit has a five-year shelf life if unopened.On its face, it seems like this should be super easy to use. However, surprisingly enough, it’s far easier to put soil in a pot and plant the seed, than to use this kit!Using this kit is a task! First, the sponges must be soaked for 10-15 minutes. Then, after placing the soaked sponge into the small basket provided. The seeds are to be placed in the middle of the sponge. Then, you cover the basket with the small plastic dome provided.Place the seed pod that you just created into your hydroponic garden. Then, you must add the correct amount of plant food provided.After all of this…the seeds may or may not germinate.There is also the option of germinating the seed using a paper towel. This takes 5-7 days. After the germination, you start the process all over again with soaking the sponges, etc.There is no guarantee that this pod kit will work. It’s hit or miss.

PRODUCT/THOUGHTS: This is a basic starter kit that contains 5 different kinds of tomato seeds (separately packaged), two containers of dry plant food, 8 grow baskets & sponges, 8 grow sticker labels, instructions, tweezers, and 8 pod domes.Seeds include Red and Golden Cherry Tomato, Roma Tomato, San Marzano Tomato & Yellow Pear Tomato. It's great that these are non-GMO. I wish they had made the packets resealable. Once you open one of them, there is no way to keep it closed. These can be used with AeroGarden or other systems. The manufacturer does include instructions for first-time growers. They are very basic but easy to follow. No soil is needed as the seeds grow in the sponge. The seeds can also be started on a paper towel in a ziplock bag in the dark and transferred to the pod.
