I had a hard time picking from all of the colors offered for this item. I couldn't decide between a color that would go well in our kitchen or more of a non-color that would blend with the dishwasher. I took a gamble and picked this silver model to match our stainless steel dishwasher. (I flipped a coin between silver and gunmetal.) This one looks perfect on our dishwasher.I love the simple sliding action of this sign. This is a lot more practical than a magnet where you actually twist the magnet back and forth. This one won't scratch the dishwasher.As another reviewer pointed out, yes, this item is made out of paper and it could get damaged if you get it wet.Solution: Don't get it wet.Seriously, are people having water balloon fights in their kitchens? I never get the front of my dishwasher wet, so this shouldn't be an issue.EDIT: By the way, I don't usually comment on shipping, but since this isn't an Amazon Prime eligible item, shipping & service are relevant to comment upon. I don't normally buy items that don't qualify for Prime shipping, but this clean/dirty magnet was just what I was looking for. I was pleasantly surprised by the fast shipping. I think I ordered it on a Friday and it arrived in Tuesday's mail. That's great.

I was a little disappointed at first because it wasn't made out of tin as I assumed I was.It's made out of plastic covered paper.I'd give it a five ⭐ if it was made from tin.Ive only had my magnet a week or so, time will tell if it's going to hold up.

There are all sorts of clean/dirty magnets on the market. I've even made some to use myself, but there is nothing more convenient than this Clean Dirty Magnet Sign. Once affixed to the dishwasher, it doesn't need to be moved. Just a tiny flick of the tab will change the sign from "clean" to "dirty."Want to stick it on a plastic or tile surface? No problem. The sign includes a sticky-backed magnetic strip to use on surfaces that don't hold magnets.I have a white dishwasher, so I bought a white sign. It's made of what looks like card stock and a very thin plastic cover, but I wouldn't know it from a distance. The clean, sleek lines make it appear like part of the dishwasher. Very nice. I'd buy it again.

This dishwasher status sign is the best I could find (after a fairly lengthy search). The build quality is not particularly impressive, but I expect that it will last long enough. Our household doesn't have children, so it won't take much abuse. I like the appearance, and the slider functionality is simple enough. My only usability critique is that the slider does seem to move slightly as the dishwasher is opened/closed, which means that over time the status could change inadvertently. I've not ever seen it move that much, but just something to keep an eye on.Shipping was prompt, and packaging was sufficient. Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

I like this a lot but unfortunately it tends to be easily moved from clean to dirty unintentionally (I guess when we are standing by the dishwasher we must brush against it accidentally and it slides the opposite way). A small change in degisn to prevent that from happening would be nice. It is otherwise great - nice and visible and sticks well!

Yes, like the other reviews say, the materials this is made out of seem a little like a craft project. I still think it looks really good, though. It helps to see at a glance if the dishwasher has dirty dishes in it, without having to open the dishwasher and stare into the bottom of a glass to see if there is any sign of milk. The only thing I don't like is that the sign tab slides so easily that sometimes you may accidentally brush up against it and change the sign.

Let me just say I am the guilty one in the house. I lack the ability to see that tiny little light that tells you if the dishes are clean or not. I was tired of getting in trouble for opening it to check, not unloading it due to lack of time, and causing havoc! I needed something more obvious, design and convenience were important to me as well. I really liked the Clean Dirty magnet sign. While I read on other reviews it was made of paper, I was a bit worried. However, when I received my sign I was pleasantly surprised. This is a nicely made sign! Yes, it is made of paper, but it is that heavy card stock and a nice quality one. Plus you never really touch the paper since the sign is encased in plastic to protect it. While I don't think it could withstand a dunk in the sink (who knows maybe it could) I know I could easily wipe off any splatter from cooking or cleaning that gets on it. The item look exactly like the picture and I am really glad I went with this product over others.

The letters don't quite match up to the openings and it slides back and forth by itself. It's a great idea, but the quality is poor and it feel like something my daughter could have made in school. I wish it was a heavier material. The slide has already started to tear. I would pay the extra five bucks to have the product be slightly more "finished".
