Easy-Crank Can Opener with Folding Crank Handle, Black, 3.50 x 4.50 x 10.50

I have no complaints. It works well and is super easy to use and very ergonomic. I was at my wits end dealing with awful can openers. I had gone through a dozen over the past 2 years. I open very large cans of tomatoes for soup. (restaurant size) and no can opener could hold up to them. I was very close to buying a $100 food service hand crank can opener that you mount to the countertop but I'm glad I found this first. Even if it lasts only 2 years it's totally worth it compared to others I've gone through in less than a couple weeks. I'm a year in and it's still going strong. Highly recommend.

Larger cans were getting to be a hassle to open. This can opener makes opening any size can so easy!

I recall swing away brand growing up. Anyone looking for a good quality manual can opener, this is the one.The hand crank is a lot larger than most. Swing away brand opener gets the job done

A can opener with a crank handle is much easier to use than a can opener without one. One word, leverage.

I have gotten really tired of buying manual can openers only to have them stop working very well after 8 or 9 months. But, the Swing-A-Way Easy Crank Can Opener, 10.4 Inches works. Consistently. Every time. It's a little cumbersome, though, because of the way I use it. As another reviewer said, it seems to be designed for opening large cans because the handles are long. (That's why I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5. I wish the manufacturer would make one with shorter handles.). The crank handle, the one that you move, is long enough that it crashes into the counter every time you bring it around if you are opening medium or small cans. And, medium and small cans are the only sizes that I open. If I was using it on a large can, there would be enough clearance between this handle and the counter. To avoid this counter-crash, I just set the can to be opened up on something - like a block of wood, or I put it very close to the edge of the counter so the long handle will hang off the edge.All this means you need to hold on to the can securely so it won't tip over. But, I find the little extra effort to do all this is much less frustrating that the can openers that die early.

My sister had suggested this can opener to me after she had bought herself one. I owned I very old Starfit opener which had seen one too many cans and was ready to be retired. I normally would never spend $30 on something like a can opener but decided to go ahead and order it. I was surprised at how large it was (the handle you turn does stick out a little) but the quality seemed good so I gave it a try on a can and well…my sister was right- this is a good opener! Once you have it locked on, you turn the handle and within seconds the can is opened! Fast and easy! So far I’d say this was worth it.

Like essentially all Swing-A-Way can openers, this thing is is great for its designed purpose; but the extra long handles and crank makes opening cans so much easier. The only downsize to this particular model is its price. It cost almost 3 times as much as a standard Swing-A-Way model from a local store would have; it was worth it nonetheless.

I like the handle, it’s easier on my hand. Also, the handle can fold for better storage. I ordered one for myself months ago. I bought a second one a couple weeks ago as a gift.I like swingaway brand because I find that they last longer than the others. They don’t rust or dull away as easy and I’ve had at one for a few years at a time.Great product!
