Boat People: Personal Stories from the Vietnamese Exodus 1975-1996 Paperback – December 10, 2013

In February 1980 I arrived in Kuku just after Carina left the island. I worked as a nurse in the camp. The Boat Peolple have always been in my heart for 35 years. I never heard about Kuku ever again until I saw Carina's book on the Internet. Thanks to her book I was able to go back to Kuku and read all the stories of these wonderful people. Yes indeed it is a testimony of the human spirit and I would strongly recommend this book now that new boat people need to be rescued in the Mediterraneen sea.
