It’s ok but….
I picked this brand of black pepper and sea salt cashew nuts by mistake. It’s alright and taste ok. But it’s not as good as the brand I normally get.

Big bag of very tasty, nicely seasoned Cashews
This resealable foil bag is so jam packed with cashews that once opened its hard to close again until you've eaten a few - but thats not difficult! The nuts are whole cashews, roasted and generously seasoned with salt and black pepper that gives them just a hint of heat from the pepper and a perfect saltiness. The nuts are fresh and crunchy and the bag has a best before date of around 14 months away.Roasted in the UK, they are prepared in a factory that handles most other allergens, so the packet actually recommends that you don't eat them if you have any allergy. I have Coeliac Disease and should not consume gluten and unfortunately I did experience bloating and symptoms typical of Coeliac a few hours after eating a load. It may be coincidence, and in fairness I'd be really surprised if it was contamination in the nuts and a problem does seem unlikely given its mostly just nut, salt and pepper, so I’ll try again in a few days time and see if it reoccurs.Overall a delicious and nutritious snack, that although is quite pricey, isn't a bad price for quality cashews.

Cashew Calculus: A Review in Calories
The equation is simple: cashews, a metric ton of them (well, a kilogram to be precise), and my ever-present desire for a satisfying snack. The solution? This industrial-sized bag of salt and pepper cashews. Let's delve into the data.Value Proposition: A Glimmer in the VoidIn the unforgiving expanse of grocery aisles, cashews often command a premium. This leviathan of a bag, however, offered a welcome change. The cost per nut dipped to an almost reasonable level, making it a minor victory in the ceaseless struggle against budgetary constraints.Seasoning Subtlety: A Whisper in the StormThe "salt and pepper" designation promised a flavor explosion. Alas, the reality was more akin to a distant murmur. The cashews themselves were pleasant, their natural buttery richness on point. But the promised piquant kiss of salt and peppery fire? A mere whisper on the wind.Resealable Convenience: A Port in the StormThankfully, the resealable bag emerged as a beacon of practicality. Because let's be honest, a kilogram of anything, especially something as delicious as cashews, is an invitation to indulgence. The resealable pouch offered a modicum of control, a way to prevent a complete descent into snacking oblivion.Calorie Conundrum: A Hidden VariableA final note, a wrinkle in the otherwise straightforward analysis. A cursory glance at the nutritional information revealed a startling truth: over 600 calories per 100 grams. This mercenary of a nut, it turned out, packed a serious energy punch. A valuable consideration for those, like myself, who may underestimate the sheer caloric density these deceptively delightful morsels possess.Verdict: A Calculated ChoiceIn conclusion, the value is undeniable. The flavor, pleasant but understated. The resealable pouch, a godsend. The hidden caloric payload, a factor to be reckoned with. So, the final verdict? A qualified thumbs up. Just remember, approach this behemoth of a bag with caution, for within its depths lies a delicious, calorie-laden temptation.

Really well cooked. mostly pepper taste. If you are considering 1KG of cashews consider these.
For context/disclosure this is the third Purima food product that I have reviewed, I did not like the last one and that was reflected in my poor review. Purima who supply these do not chose who in the vine program receives their product and their only contact with me is reading my reviews.Good for them for putting more products out for review. These are cooked to perfection, with a lot of pepper. The advert says " packaging may vary" NO NO, this packaging is right! Resealable and tough enough to survive the kitchen until its BBF date of Sept 2025. The info on the pack is very good.Mine was slightly over 1KG. The nuts I tried were all perfectly cooked with an even spread of flavour, I looked but I could not find any bad ones. They were mostly intact with very little breakage meaning that some thought has gone into mitigating the transport system which is out of their hands.Taste is subjective, hence leaving it to last, I am a fan of these. More pepper taste than salt, the after taste is all pepper but not overwhelming for me, you need to be a pepper lover to eat a lot of them.
