Mr. Heater 15-Feet Propane Appliance Hose Assembly

I wanted to move my Weber Genesis S-310 over to the other side of my deck. This hose did the trick. I combined it with the 10 foot hose that came with the Weber and got just enough length, running the hose underneath the deck to the other side.Some websites said that the pressure might drop too much over that 25 foot total distance, but the Weber works just fine. I tested it by heating it up and it reached the same temperature in about the same time.Note: this hose uses 3/8 inch *pipe* threading. To extend your BBQ hose you'll need some adapter fittings. My Home Depot didn't carry them all - fortunately I live near Seattle where we have McLendon Hardware, who carry just about everything. Hopefully you'll have a good hardware store near you too. Here's the exact order of connections, from wall to BBQ (all 3/8 inch):Wall: quick-release femaleWeber hose: quick-release male --- flare femaleFitting: flare male --- pipe maleMr Heater hose (this product): pipe female --- pipe maleFitting *: pipe female --- flare maleFitting *: flare female --- flare femaleWeber BBQ: flare male* I tried to get one fitting instead of the last two, but even McLendon didn't have that combination.I used gas pipe tape on the connections and tested them with a lit cigar (just checking if you were still reading - I actually used soapy water).I'm a happy griller.

As for a product, this is fine. It does say on the box that it can cause cancer which really alarmed me and it smelled really really bad, but it is a product that should be used outside. It didn't fit what I was using it for, but it was a fine product nonetheless.

This product was purchased to build an extension propane hose for use with the Mr. Heater Big Buddy Heater. The Big Buddy Heater has a low-pressure propane connector used to supply propane for the heater instead of using the 1-pound propane bottles or the high-pressure propane hose and filter. I purchased this product because it is high-pressure tested (and made in the United States) and of high-quality). While this hose will be used in a low-pressure application, the high-pressure testing proves its quality to me.I found this product to be very well-made. I had no problems with the assembly and, most importantly, no leaks! Thanks!
