Worked for me, but check the dimensions.
These rings do have short stakes and, after pushing the stakes into the ground, the stakes are, of course, even shorter. Be sure to read the dimensions of the size you are purchasing to be sure the stakes of the support rings are suitable for your needs. I used them to support short day lilies after transplanting. Good for Transplants
I used these to keep moisture in newly transplanted plants. I rooted cuttings and water, and after some good roots grew, I transferred them to soil. These little support rings were the perfect size for 6" and 4" pots. I put a 1 gallon plastic bag over the top, using bamboo skewers to keep the bag from lying against the leaves, and voila! I was able to get a little greenhouse effect that helped reduce transplant shock.

Small, be sure to measure
These were a little smaller than I had hoped, but I managed to find a use for them. They are perfect for keeping leaves (and strawberries) from touching the dirt.
