I ordered this after my strong, boisterous dog snapped a previous excellent lead. As he is always on the lead, I wanted one that had a variety of settings from long to quite short. This meets that criteria. The only issue with this is I do need to practice lead management. The first time he ran off into the long grass and rolled around, he ended up trussed up like a turkey; not the fault to the lead.. It also has two strong clips allowing it to be attached to his harness and to his head collar when necessary. It is comfortable to handle and appears strong. I am very pleased with this product.

There is a design fault on this lead which makes it not fit for purpose.The flange on the large clip which fastens onto the dog harness/lead is immediately adjacent to the opening of the clip. As such, it is possible for the ring on the harness/collar to catch on the flange and open the clip when tension is applied on the lead by the dog. This has happened to me twice, once leaving the dog in the middle of a road with no lead attached.The flange on the smaller clip at the handle end of the lead is a different design, being positioned further away from the opening of the clip. As such, that design of clip could not be opened accidentally by catching on the ring of the dog harness.Anyone buying this style of lead should be aware of this potential problem and look for a lead which has a secure clip.

As other reviews have stated, take note of the length because it is very long. Regardless, it's a very secure leash and has proven resistant to my Dane cross' efforts to chew it in half. You can also adjust it to various lengths or use it with a two-point harness, overall a very worthwhile purchase.

Whilst more expensive than some other Halti-esque leads, I bought this based purely on reviews and so far I am very pleased I did. In contrast to those other leads this has stronger clips and better variable, and ultimately much longer, length. Invaluable for the varied sized residents of our local Dogs Trust that I get to socialise. Is also very comfortable on the hand. Happy with my pooch-ase (see what I did there??)

The lead is very strong and has excellent clip fasteners either end. I did use it as intended in a loop fastened to a halti face harness and a generic chest harness. If there was a handle included too this would make the lead superb but as just a loop it is easily dropped when trying to control a boisterous dog. I ended up looping it around my original lead to create something I could put my hand through to ensure I kept a good grip. The various sturdy connecting rings on the lead make it very versatile and I am finally confident that I will get my extremely wayward Patterdale to walk properly at last. An optional/additional handle I am able to attach so that I can put my hand right through and ensure that the lead cant be dropped whilst maintaining control would make this lead perfect at last for me.Very well made with solid connections and clasps I would recommend buying to anyone with a wayward lead puller!!

Very well made sturdy robust dog lead. Seller includes instructions as there are a variety in ways which you choose how to use the lead to suit your dog. We found by using one clip onto the dog harness and the other onto her dog collar brilliant, you are in control to steer the dog and this keeps the dog closer to you and stops pulling. We have a Belgium German Shepherd dog. Already we are making progress and giving her “heel” sit and walk instructions and praise and rewards when she has does well. Very pleased with this quality of dog lead.

This training leash is very well made and the price reflects the quality of components and construction.The leash appears to made from a 'tube' of woven nylon, which allows it to be quite soft in the hand yet still retain strength. The hardware fittings (rings and clips) are good quality metal and should last well too.The flexibility the lead offers by configuring it differently is useful. There are two rings you can clip onto, so you can basically have it two lengths, which is probably enough.(I guess if there were a third midway it would allow you to attach the lead round your waist keeping both hands free if you wanted to - such as when picking up dog waste. - Just a thought) The addition of a built in loop section near the end which is connected to the dog is very useful for close control. Such as near traffic or if you don't want the dog to jump up. It doesn't get in the way either when the lead is configured at its longest. It is also easy to secure the dog to railings with the other end of the lead without having to unhook the dog if you want to.All in all, a high quality product.

I use this lead for a 40kg working German shepherd dog. He is very powerful and have used a number of leads over the years, he has snapped leads in the past, 2 material ones and 1 leather one so was dubious over the quality of this lead, but it has held an held well. Highly recommended if you need an adjustable strong practical lead. I've lost mine unfortunately but no hesitation in ordering another.
