Bonte Confiserie Vintage Collection of Hard Candies, Belle Epoque 1900

I received my item. For almost 20 dollars I was expecting to receive 8 - 4.23 ounce containers. No! I discussed this with Amazon and they say it is only 1 container. Maybe they will correct the number 8 in front of the ounces that you will receive and the word "containers" so as not to confuse a shopper. Amazon will contact the seller to clarify and I will get back to you. For the taste: the purple colored (Violet) flavor is very subtle ... I couldn't tell it was violet yet could taste a slight hint of flowery/fruity finish on the hard, sugar candy. The white rose candy had a nice taste and it was very good, emitting a good rose flavor. The size of the candies are cute and they are shaped like a flower. About the size of a large thumbnail. The candy is very thin on the outer edges and a slightly thicker mound towards the middle. A nice shape to fit your mouth, being about as thick as a Necco wafer, yet a lot smaller in diameter. The candies are hard sugar...resembles Jolly Ranchers with the smooth mouth-feel (as opposed to a Life Saver which is not as hard a candy and not as dense), except a lot smaller, of course. I wouldn't give these to very young children because they could easily get caught in throat (as would any small, hard candies). Would I order again? Not at this price and not for the violet, which was disappointing. I would look forward to just the White Rose flavor if it were a lower price. I will keep looking for a delightful candy to enjoy at a fair price, this isn't it.

Got these for my mother. She likes them. They're sweet and have strong flavors.

The candies are not remotely worth the price. The tin is only reason it was gifted to me. BTW, the pink oval at the bottom of the lid is a removeable sticker.
