Soraken Stainless Steel Probe for Thermometer (Green-red)

We made the mistake of briefly immersing one of silicon ends of the probe in in water and it is no longer accurate. We knew better and it was a mistake, but they are not forgiving. As long as you keep them dry, they work great. We now use Wet Ones to clean the probes.** As a follow up, i contacted Soraken and since the individual probes were not available, they sent me an entire new thermometer and 4 probes. That'a great customer service!

Works great. Awesome price! I almost purchased the equivalent on kickstart (except the probes are wireless) for $500. Glad I didn’t. For this price, I can deal with the probe cords. They app works great too!

I like these, but wish the probes were a little shorter; if they aren't fully encased they'll show artificially hot. I've also noticed they're a bit more delicate and a couple of the ones I've used over the last couple of months have failed. I work in electronics, and we use a very similar style probe to measure temperatures of equipment; ours last MUCH longer, though to be fair are not subjected to the same heat, though much more vibration and physical abuse which is what I think kills these so quickly (of course, maybe I just got two faulty ones).I also wish the case that you wrap the cords up (which isn't really a good idea for a probe like this; better to hang them on a wall) would double as some sort of probe extractor. Those silicone ends are as hot as anything else and it is tough to get them out without using some tool.
