Magic Remote for LG-TV-Remote, Replacement for LG Smart TV Remote Control, AKB75855501 AN-MR20GA with Pointer and Voice Function

The scroller / OK button on our existing LG TV remote control suddenly failed in normal use. It was beyond repair, so I ordered a replacement. The search was very easy and the replacement arrived courtesy of Amazon Prime within less than 24 hours. It worked immediately out of the box. Great price too. I couldn't be happier.

Great remote purchased as a replacement TV remote control for my LG G1 OLED tv remote. It is exactly the same remote works great, pointer and voice features work. The old remote was 4 years and a few of buttons didn’t work or worn away. Overall very happy

When I bought a Samsung Smart TV in 2023, the one thing that let it down really badly, was the under-sized and slippery to hold, and generally ergonomically unpleasant, remote controller. So, roll on to 2025, and I'd got to the point of ditching the TV, purely because the remote was so horrible to use. As a final attempt to change this situation, I ended up buying the remote I am now reviewing. Okay, so the limited illumination of a couple of keys is somewhat pointless, but that wasn't why I chose this one. I wanted a longer controller, as well as full compatibility with my original. When I read that it was "compatible with ALL Samsung TV's" I thought - 'yeah, right!' Previous experience of buying compatible remotes for TV's has always involved entering codes and messing around - then the codes seem to get forgotten and you have to re-enter them, etc. But this time, every button I needed worked straight away; no messing around. And best of all, the controller is easier to hold and use - even though the button sizes are almost identical to the original manufactured controller. The longer length of the controller and its better surface to grip, make all the difference to operating it.

This remote is superb, great value, and doesn’t require any setting up. It works brilliantly, straight from it’s packaging. To mention also, it’s bigger than the genuine remote, with a few extra buttons etc. A perfect backup for my Samsung Smart TV. 👍

Good quality product and it works great. Sturdier and better quality than the one that came with the TV

Pretty good quality replacement TV remote for Samsung TV, though it is not an official Samsung product, so don't expect to see the Samsung branding on the remote unit. The keys are all functional and the build is sturdy. I can recommend this as a replacement TV remote if your original Samsung remote is a bit worn out.

I found the remote confusing to setup at first. But after several failed attempts i got it partially working on my Toshiba Smart TV. The Instructions come with a massive list of 4 digit codes you tap into the remote for your specific device. On a tiny sheet of paper i might add. In the end i had over 40 numbers to try and about 10 of those worked. I could turn the TV on and off, change the volume and channel and the numbers worked. Every other button didn't work. So i dont have access to any menus, tv guide, setup ect on the tv. It's made my tv usable now, because it doesnt have any manual controls, so in that respect it was worth getting but in hindsight, i should have searched for and bought the specific remote for my specific model of tv. I advise you to do the same. Hope my experience helps someone.

Je suis impressionnée : pas de paramétrage à faire ! Une fois que j'ai mis les piles ( non fournies) : j'ai pu allumer la TV. Toutes les fonctionnalités sont disponibles. Il y a même un mini lecteur en bas pour la pause, l'avance et la lecture. Très pratique pour YouTube. Remplace efficacement la télécommande d'origine Samsung ( TV 4K UHD) qui n'est qu'un objet de déco.
