"Akkermancia." It would be nice if they could spell the product name
I should have read the reviews more carefully. It really doesn't engender confidence when the supplier can't spell the name of the product! I think I will ask for a return and have ordered 'Pasteurized Akkermansia muciniphila MucT™' from the "Akkermansia Company"* that is also available from Amazon. Yes, It is patented, yes it is more expensive, yes you have to add EU postage. But it is marketed by the scientific team that originally identified this bacteria in 2004, has benefited from €20m of investment and was the actual product tested in the clinical trials on human subjects. I find that rather more reassuring. It's your choice. *I have no connection with this company.

Nutrality Akkermansia Supplement
I ordered these for the apparent benefits that you can read about online. I regularly supplement with fiber and it seems this one is specifically targeting a few different ailments in the gut. Probiotics are usually only useful to help restore things after using antibiotics so keep that in mind.

After ...anti biotics ?
The Akkermansia supplement is manufactured in a GMP-certified facility, It is GMO-free and HACCP certified, so far so good….. When choosing a pro biotic (perhaps after a course of anti biotic) it is important to get a quality brand. The cheaper ones may also work well but having used these before after my last round of anti biotics, they worked wonders for me then, and i expect the same result this time If like me you do your own research on health topics then by looking up the main ingredients you should find as i did just how effective these can be to help restore that vital gut health. This one includes Freeze-dried Akkermansia This was important for me and If you are serious about gut health then this could be worthy of consideration at this price. Will update when I have used this for a month . For now the capsules are easy to swallow for me and have no obvious taste either. They are also Vegan (great) .💕👍

Monoculture
Most probiotics will give you much more than one type of bacteria. This has only one, viz. Akkermansia muciniphila, which is one I've never heard of before. It would have to be a particularly beneficial bacterium to justify just having the one type in a probiotic which is so expensive, and I can't find anything researching on the internet about this particular bacterium which would provide such justification. After having been taking it for several days I can't say that my gut function has been any better or worse for it, but I had previously been taking a multi-culture supplement for a while before trying this one, which probably proves the point that a less expensive one with several types of more familiar bacteria (genera Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium etc.) works just as well.

Healthy gut
I think more and more people are becoming aware that looking after your inside is just as important as looking after your outside! I would always recommend that people do their own research before taking a supplement, looking at each ingredient and researching the potential benefits and side effects to see if they think they will suit them. It's always best to start off gently and be aware of how the supplement is affecting you. It's early days for me yet on this supplement but hopefully, my gut will be all the better for taking it. Just a word of advice - I would imagine it is pointless taking these at the same time as antibiotics as antibiotics tend to kill off your gut bacteria so I would wait until you have finished the antibiotic course before then using this afterwards.

No additives, good quality
Probiotics have become a staple in my daily supplementation routine, and if you do some reading or watch some podcasts on the importance of gut flora health, you would know why. This supplement comes in a very small pouch that contains 30 capsules, each delivering 30 billion CFU of Akkermansia muciniphila in a delayed-release capsule. This specific bacterium seems to play a very important role in maintaining the integrity of the gut lining. I like that the supplement is clean and free from additives. It does contain potato starch, which is needed to feed the bacteria. The supplement is made in the UK and has a use-by date of July 2026.
