Works really well when attached to a power head
It’s modular and fit 75% of this octagon tank. Forget just using standard and expensive filters , get this and use a filter with carbon - reduces the maintenance 10x and keeps the water clear

Nice fit with options
Put these in a 37, 30, and 20 gallon aquarium tanks. I like that you can add what you need to fit your tank size.I went with this style because each plate has a slot for a tube. Other under gravels only allow for tubes in the back corners. This allowed more options in setting up the tanks.Tube expand to fit a variety of height. I wish that they came with more tubes. Extra tubes with the square bottom be found.My only big complaint is that the Clips to hold the plates together. They are male/female style and work from two directions which can make for a tedious time hooking and unhooking them.They are durable enough for our fish tanks use. I did twist and push on them before installation and none broken.
