The Adventures of Obi and Titi: Shango's Axe of Thunder

My 7 1/2 year old son really enjoys reading the Obi and Titi book series! We've recently discovered this series and purchased all five books. My son is looking forward to Book 6, which is not presently out yet. I've subscribed to their newsletter. I'm sure newsletter will let us know when book 6 is ready! :)

These books are the best ever. My children and I read every night and I almost didn't want to wait for them to finish reading. Will order every Obi and Titi boook i can ever find. I also love that I have great books that have children of color in them.

The evolution of this story in the series was amazing. It continues to keep your attention from book 1 all the way until book 6.

Purchased book five and six for my niece who is a voracious and fast reader. She finished book five the day I gave it to her and book six the next day. She loves them.

Action packed Shango's Ace of Thunder is a thrilling read. Equally rich in humour, mystery, twists and turns. I enjoy the meeting of fact and fiction in this series. The African facts is a great accompaniment to each book. Entertaining, educational and inspiring. Look forward to the next installment.

I was so delighted to see that book 5 in this children's book series was out and it really didn't disappoint. This was an exciting read which left me and my nieces and nephews yearning for more. The African facts at the end of the book were very informative and allowed us to have some interesting discussions about West African history and culture. We're very much looking forward to book 6.

Myself and my 7 (and a half) year old daughter love this series of books... fantastic stories!. Its also really refreshing to read (and hard to find) great children's adventures with black children at the forefront. All the references to ancient culture from Benin/ Nigeria provide a wonderful and excitng backdrop to the saga.Can't wait for the next installment!!!
