Relieves Scalp Inflammation, Including from Exczema and Seborrheic Dermatitis
This review is for Jason's 84% Pure Aloe Vera Shampoo. (I've seen several reviews here that apparently refer to Jason's Natural Dandruff Relief shampoo.) I described this shampoo to my children's pediatrician, and had to use restraint not to include words like "amazing." I had recently ordered this shampoo for myself, but my toddler began complaining that his hair "hurt." When I pulled back his hair I saw that his scalp, running from his neck to his crown, was bright pink. I messaged this shampoo on his scalp and left it on for about 20 minutes. When I rinsed it, I found his scalp had returned to its natural color. My child's scalp sensitivity returned on another occasion (his doctor speculated it was eczema), but the shampoo worked just as well then. This evidence might not be enough to call it "amazing," but I am very grateful for this shampoo's salutary effect upon my own issues. I've struggled for a couple of years with seb derm and hair loss, and have tried various medicated shampoos and essential oils, without significant results. I purchased this shampoo simply because I had read that aloe vera gel is anti-inflammatory, and I was having a difficult time locating pure gel that did not contain other doubtful ingredients. I did not see dramatic results immediately, but I am starting my third bottle, and my condition is much, much more manageable now than it was a couple of months ago, thank the Lord. For me it has proven important to wash my hair daily, to let the shampoo sit on my scalp for several minutes, to rinse with tepid or cool water, and to follow up by gently combing my scalp with a fine toothed comb to remove flaking.

Good cleansing and moisturizing shampoo
The shampoo has a pleasant scent, doesn’t take a lot to suds and helped clean up some dry skin skin issues on my husband’s scalp. Leaves hair shiny and soft.

It’s a Scam!
I used to purchase this product for years and was very satisfied with it. It went out of stock for a long time. It very recently became available so I purchased it. Well, it’s not the same product at all. The product I purchased is watered down, very runny you can’t even put it on your hand and it looks different and smells like bleach! Clearly not the same product. Do not purchase! It’s a scam! The price is double what it was and you can’t even return it! Very unhappy customer. 👎🏻

Wonderful shampoo!
I absolutely love this shampoo, which leaves my thick and some times dry hair feeling silky, wavy, shiny and nourished. I have used another organic, good-for-you shampoo for several years and "had to" buy the Jason Aloe Vera shampoo when I was travelling and it was all could find. And am I glad I did! It works better in the "hard" water at my house than my previous shampoo; it has a very light, clean scent, and most importantly: IT DOES NOT CONTAIN PARABENS, SODIUM LAURETH/ LAURYL SULFATE OR PHTALATES! The lack of SLS causes it to not foam very much, but rest assured it cleans your hair gently.I follow with a very rich conditioner (Dove Intensive Repair) and I don't think my hair has ever been this happy! Oh and my 69 year-old mother was sold on it once she tried it as well :)

Initial results are favorable
Don't understand all the smelly comments. The bottle I bought has very little odor and certainly not like sulfur. I've only shampooed twice, so not sure how it will help my scalp but I can say when applying, my scalp felt great. I've been using Dermarest shampoo and it worked well for a couple of years but not helping much lately. I've read that it's better to use different shampoos than to just stick with one brand. Maybe that's more for how your hair looks/feels but I don't have much to worry about that.

I'm sure this is a good product for others
Someone mentioned that this product helped with her intense dandruff and I can identify with the that reviewer. She talked about leaving the shampoo in for as long as she could (30 minutes I think) before she rinsed it out. I tried that, this product did not work for me. Maybe its because I might have scalp eczema as I do have eczema in general. I'm sure this is a good product for others, but it was not beneficial for me :-(. Hopefully, I can find something for my itchy scalp and dry hair.

Good for itchy scalp on baby!
i bought this because i read that it would be good for itching scalp, but it's all natural. my then 16 month old was scratching her head all the time, but no sign of cradle cap or otherwise. so i opted for the aloe vera recommendation it's been a coupe of months and it really seems like she's stopped scratching her head as much as she had been, so i think it is a good, non irritating shampoo and it seems to not be too bothersome for a little one, i.e. tear free. i don't think it is as "tear free" as actual baby shampoos, but she's pretty amenable. one thing i don't like, is it smells meh... i do like a nice smelling shampoo like mustela, but it seemed to bother her scalp. :( hope that helps!
