Columbia Women's Newton Ridge Plus Waterproof Amped Hiking Boot

Oh. Em. Gee. These boots feel like I'm walking on clouds. I had foot surgery, and my recovery is long and painful.My foot demands comfort. I do have the strata Columbia boot, but..There. Is. No. Comparison. I tried these on, and they blow the strata right out of the water. The comfort is unreal.I just bought another pair, the stratus/ canyon rose since it's on sale. Wow. Get them. You will be happy you did. Thank you, Columbia.UPDATE:STILL LOVING THE BOOTS. HOWEVER, I DO THINK IT'S SHADY HOW COLUMBIA CAN'T BE CONTACTED DIRECTLY AND THEIR PRICES CHANGE DAILY ON THEIR BOOTS.THAT IS NOT GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE. WHAT ARE YOU DOING, COLUMBIA?

I wore these boots to Iceland in late March and cannot be happier with their performance. I hiked a glacier (with cramp-ons), got drenched at Seljalandsfoss, and then soaked again at Diamond Beach. I stayed 95% dry (the ocean got me good) and warm. There was no break-in period and were actually more comfortable than my "comfy" trainers. They were light-weight and the black style was super versatile- I could even wear them out at night on the town and not feel "outdoorsy." The only complaint is the toe box lost a small bit of the black color, but I was pretty rough on them. I didn't spray them with anything beforehand and can say these shoes were an amazing value. I'm so glad I took a chance on them!

After comparing dozens of hiking boots, I finally chose the Columbia Newton Ridge Plus—and they didn’t disappoint! The waterproofing is flawless, the grip on rocky trails is superb, and they’re surprisingly lightweight for such sturdy support. The break-in period was minimal, and now they fit perfectly. So glad I picked these over pricier brands—they deliver everything I needed!

These boots were very comfortable from the very first walk in them. These boots are really waterproof as I went into many deep puddles. They are very dirty but still look great ! I would recommend

These are the cutest boots. They have held up during weekly 2-6 mi hikes in water mud rocks and look good still. I have plantar fasciitis and they are starting to to hurt after a year. Normally hiking boots hurt as soon as I put them on so I gave them 5 stars

These boots were a lovely surprise. When I first got them, I thought, "oh boy, these babies are stiff." To break them in, I wore them on several walks, and I was amazed to only need bandaids at the place where the top of the boots hit the back of my legs. I wear a 10W, and the 10W was perfect.I went on to wear these boots hiking at several national parks, including the South Kaibab trail at the Grand Canyon (read: lots of steps). They were wonderful. The stiffness of the sole provided excellent support, while the upper part braced the ankle. I did develop a weird blister on both of my big toes where the boot creased as I walked--that's never happened before--but, hey, I walked 10-15 miles a day in them. I'll take it!

Disclaimer: I haven’t worn these out in the real world as yet however on trying them on, the fit was perfect. They were comfortable and lighter weight than expected, which is good. I wear size 9 and bought 9wide and they were perfect.

These hiking boots were comfortable from the get go.;they were not stiff at all.
