Absolutely AMAZING Toilet + The Best Customer Service Ever We live off-grid, so having a reliable toilet is a huge deal for us. I actually bought two Modiwell toilets because my sons cabin is far from ours so 2 made the most sense. I have to say this really imporved our qaulity of living which seems silly but when lots of things are hard one thing that is easier makes a huge difference. They are super convenient, saves water, and honestly feels cleaner and nicer than a regular toilet, and no smell (I know its hard to believe but seriously no smell.) Needless to say we loved them right away. After a few days, the toilet started showing an error sign when flushing, which meant I had to turn it off and back on and then re-flush because of this issue I would sometimes use 2 -4 bags per flush every use. My sons also had this issue but his was much less frequent. That was super disappointing because bags are precious due to cost. I reached out to Modiwell customer service, and they responded the same day by email and voicemail. They were incredibly kind and helpful. They sent me new guide parts for both toilets, right away plus videos showing exactly how to install everything, AND replacement bags. Unfortunately, after installing the new parts, the error was still happening. I sent them a video of the sealing process, and once they realized the issue couldn’t be fixed by me, they went above and beyond: They sent me a brand-new toilet AND more replacement bags! That seriously blessed us. Out here, water is a commodity, and this toilet saves us so much. Before this, we used a sawdust composting system, and Modiwell is honestly on another level. It feels like a regular toilet but even better—always super clean, soft-close lid, very sturdy, and the height is perfect. I’m extremely thankful for Modiwell and their amazing customer service. They truly took care of us, and my family appreciates it more than they know. If you’re off-grid or just want a clean, reliable, no-smell solution, this is absolutely the toilet to get. My favorite new solution to a dirty problem. Far better than black tanks in my opinion and with the upgraded bag feed ring and black bags it makes a dirty job clean simple and easy. Excellent value over other similar systems on the market. Comfortable, great battery life, great operation as long as bag system is installed correctly, The odor-free bags work very well if you can't dispose of right away.. only upgrade or improvement left that I can think of would be a closed base bottom with pull out drawer to contain the dirty bags for a few days before disposal..Great job modiwell, keep up the great work. 😊

This toilet is already an outstanding product on its own—but when paired with phenomenal customer service, it becomes a purchase you can feel confident about for many years of use. The unit is solidly built and thoughtfully designed, making it both easy to use and simple to clean. When used according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, there is absolutely no odor. It’s comfortable, highly portable, and performs exactly as promised. I did encounter a small issue with the bag sealer, but customer service quickly stepped in and resolved it with professionalism and care. The toilet also arrives fully assembled, which makes installation effortless. Overall, this is a reliable, well-engineered product backed by a company that truly stands behind what they make. Great, light weight toilet. Easier cleanup than flushing a black tank for sure. Having it's own internal battery makes boondocking a cinch. The sealed bag sections hold in the smell and the coagulant works well. As others have stated, it's about $1 per flush and there's no other provider for refills. So that can be a bummer. However, the manufacturer is accurate in saying about 30 flushes per bag roll. For the men: First, here is no way I've found to avoid splash back if standing while doing number 1 (I don't dare go right on the heat-sealed seam). Second, while sitting, your part will touch the bag in front. So, scoot back for number one and scoot forward for number two to make sure everything goes into the right spot.

The first time using it, the waste was dropping half up half way down, when the plate started sealing, it smashed the waste half way up/half way below. Errors E3 E5, I had to power on/off several times, pull the bag down to make sure it had enough space. I was sweating handling, fixing my "business" with gloves on. It's not easy for everyone or the first time users or for kids to use, because the bag portion holding the waste not big "size of cup of coffee" and it was not big enough to hold the waste. Youtubers made it so easy, but they didn't show how big the bag can hold the ...I cleaned it pretty good and put back in the box sent to UPS, waiting for my refund.

We bought this toilet for our conversion van. It is amazing. It’s much smaller than a cassette and I think of it as an adult diaper genie. It has little to no smell. It is sturdy and somehow the seat is more comfortable than a regular toilet. We did have the error 4 issue and called the manufacturer. They were actually amazing, they sent an upgraded part and had us send a video in to make sure it was not a bigger issue. The part corrected the problem. They also sent more bags and a nighttime urine collector. Best customer service I have ever experienced. I work in the medical field and I think this could revolutionize bedside commodes.. I will caution do not slide it around quickly as it can catch and a leg can come down. But when stationary it is crazy sturdy. The unit is so small and easy for us to stow and pull out quickly for use. This is even great in California when you don’t want to use a public restroom. Highly recommend.

I ordered this toilet about a week ago and have used it off grid and find it to be very effective for our use. We have been using our port a potty and it was very inconvenient as we would have to travel to a dump station to empty pretty every day, with the modiwell we just seal the bag and dispose of it. For the functionality it is very easy to operate, you pull the bag out about 8" and put it down into the center of toilet just below the rollers so there is no waste and push button to seal bag and it will seal 1 end, the toilet seat is comfortable and has plenty of room for the male Jules as with a portable toilet they are very small and uncomfortable. There 3 things I would keep in mind 1st thing loading the bags in toilet, make sure they are even when pulling out and only insert just past the rollers so there is very little waste when sealing, 2nd when you get to the end of roll where it says "stop" don't eject right away, you have a couple mite uses with what's left, and 3rd try to not flush right away if there is just fluids as it can become very expensive for the bags just close the lid and flush after a few uses. All in all we have no regrets purchasing this toilet and i would recommend it for anyone that needs a reliable functioning off grid toilet, even if you are an avid camper.

I am very impressed with the functionality of this toilet. No plumbing, no electricity, no black water, no cassette, and most of all no unwanted odors in a closeted space! I am glad I waited for this type of dry toilet. I definitely recommend it for a class B camper van.
