The outlet will be mounted to provide AC from an inverter running on solar powered batteries. I have not yet installed it, but upon receipt and review, I’m pleased with its quality and features.The outlet is designed to withstand exterior weather, making it perfect for my project. Seller says it’s UL listed. The flush mount design will give me a nice clean look when I get it installed. It’s designed to sit tight against the surface, preventing any snagging or protruding issues. The protective cover cap is awesome and will surely give it some protection from rain and moisture. It also comes with a rear cover to protect the terminal screws in the back. Seller says it’s “professional grade” and I have to agree. The quality of this device is on par with the best you’ll find in the RV industry.I can’t wait to get this added into my solar setup.5 stars.I rate products according to the following scale:1 Star: Do not buy. Easy to replace a normal interior outlet the prior owner had on the exterior of my van. I wish the covers were made better, as it if flimsy to me.

This outlet is made of quality components and is professional grade.This unit will placed on the side of a cabinet at the end of my kitchen cabinet run for use on different appliances. The main purpose for us is so that we can use our giant air fryer that sits on a rolling stand and doesn't fit on our cabinets because it simply takes up too much space. There is an outlet inside the cabinet because the original kitchen cabinets did not go as far down the wall as they do now after a renovation.I will simply go from the existing outlet inside the cabinet and run some romex in the back of the cabinet to the side this will be mounted on. The cabinets are a dark mocha color and this black outlet will fade into the background and won't stand out like a sore thumb. When not in use it will have the round plug covering the outlet and make it even less noticeable.I recommend this Flanged Outlet Round Female Plug Receptacle for both quality, and price.

This outlet is high quality with strong pliable rubber that seals tightly, and will probably last for many years, even exposed to Florida sunlight. I installed it directly into a brick veneer wall under a large overhang outside as an access for garden tools. Even installing it in brick was simple. I drilled a hole, connected the wires, and slipped it in with weatherproof caulking. It works great, is very low profile, seats practically flat against the wall, and seals tightly against rain and insects.

Overall I like this outlet. I used it to place and outlet on my new workbench, with a laser-cut mounting box. installation was pretty simple. Wire attachment is easy and secure. The cover is nice to protect the outlet from dust and such in the shop.My only slight complaints are that the flange only has two mounting holes. The ring that holds the rubber cover to actually has four holes, and I used those as a guide to drill a couple more holes. Probably not entirely necessary but feels more secure to me. I also think I would prefer a square flange, then the screws could be placed in the corners. As it is, the screw heads keep the cover from pressing fully in place. Not a big deal, but might be more of a concern if used outside.The other thing is the rubber boot that covers the back of the outlet. Unless you cut a fairly large hold, you have to install the cover from the back after the outlet is mounted. In my instance, the mounting box is enclosed and I didn't want to use such a large hole, so I wrapped the back with heavy electrical tape.These are really pretty minor points. I'd really give it 4.5 stars if possible. But wanted to mention these issues in case they matter for your application.

i needed an outlet in the cockpit area but wanted something with a good cover and not have to worry about it looking out of place. this fit right in with the 12v and ups ports i have in the area. its well built and was easy to install.
