Zoom G1On Guitar Effects Pedal

Its the ultimate pedal, fully loaded with features, i have been using it for a month now. It did give me a "LOT" of noise at the beginning, so the first thing i did was,i lowered my main amplifier voulme since this unit already comes with a pre-amp in it it can get exremely loud ! Then, i lowered the master volume of the entire unit from the main menu, later i also started adjusting the individual patch volume under the patch settings section, i also used the noise gate provided virtually, these changes helped to significantly reduce the noise, but once i replaced the cable connecting my guitar to the unit with a very good professional-quality cable the noise totally vanished, and it has been working like a charm ever since... 100%noiseles, even without the noise gate !Its a boon for beginners, it comes loaded with hundreds of pedals and patches at a very cheap price, i especially find the drum machine part very useful for practicing.You can virtually create your own sounds by linking upto 5 pedals in series, and if you want to copy your favourite artists guitar tones you cound also search and copy settings from the web there are certain websites containing large databases where patches have already been created and shared.And finally, about the metal sounds(for beginners),Some decent,Modern Metal like sounding patches can be created using the "tube screamer", "booster"and the "metal world distortion" pedals which are virtually provided, after some careful adjustments they sound pretty kickass!. But make sure you are using professional quality cables for the connections otherwise they will be too noisy and its gonna sound like garbage !And lastly the preamp, is also a cool feature you can also connect the unit to the headphones and practise in silence or on the move without an amplifier.For power it can easily be connected to a laptop via usb, rechargable cells is also a better option for portability. But the batteries last barely for 4-5 hours !So to conclude, go for it without a second thought ! Its too much for a very cheap price !

This guitar processor is just awesome. Just tried playing (Canon rock by Jerry C, always with me always with you by Joe satriani, super Mario by Eric Calderón... etc.) and all the song I played from zoom g1on gave me total satisfying sound. It is very useful if you don't have guitar amp and also if your don't have backing track input amp. the output sound can be played through earphone or headphone. All you need is female to male adapter (search it on amazon, you will find). And also it has auxiliary input for playing music or backing Track through zoom g1on.Is you have any more queries please ask.And BTW I have only given 4 star. It is not for product, it is for delivery issue. Gati courier please deliver my product in my locality (home), please don't call me 30km away from my house to receive the product.

First of all thanks to Amazon for providing me this wonderful pedal at an amazing price. I got this in a deal price of only 3799 rupees.Now talking about the product. The Zoom g1 on is a bang for buck product. Its amazingly cheap but sounds astounding.It has lots of patches to play around with and each has different character. Also you can edit or create patches of your own taste.Its best for intermediate level guitar player to understand how different effects such as compressor, overdrive, distortion, modulation, reverb, delay work. Buying pedals separately for each effect is highly expensive. And one cannot invest on all of it in a one time go. So here comes the processor which combines all the work of pedal in a single one.It has inbuilt tuner, rhythm section and looper function. I personally found rhythm and looper function the best of all to hone your guitar abilities.Display provided is very informative and easily readable.I am using this product both for practicing and performing live.Note:- The pedal doesn't come along with power adaptor, you haver to buy it separately.

Totally amazing! The looper is so awesome! you can combine it with drum machine and then play some chords over those drums and voila! You have a band for you in background! Not to mention the effects! 100 of them, and you can even create your own patches!(by selecting upto 5 effects at once). And it is much much cheaper than any processor out there. Heck, you get a single effect pedal at this price, but here you get a drum machine, looper, and 100 effects! And a treat, you can connect headphones to it, and then you hear only through them; high quality and no disturbance to others :)

Product is pretty great for the price, however there seems to some damping of the sound. Maybe that could be because of my worn out cables or the thousands of settings that I havent yet explored. Overall a great product.Many many functions and effects.The one thing I dislike was within the looping mode (which I plan to use the most), You cannot save a loop (havent figured it out yet) and also, you cannot edit a layer on your loop or delete a single layer if you happen to make a mistake. You would need to delete the entire loop.

I started on an Electric Guitar. Was looking for a good Amp. Someone told me about this. I ordered with some doubts.....All my doubts were blown away after I started using it. I mean, it's the most versatile device any musician can have. We don't need any Amp at all. We can connect it to any device. Even practice with Headphones.One piece of advice...Just set the your preferences .....take some the to go through all settings. We may need only a few in the beginning. We can always improve later.I even tried on Ukulele.....wonderful effect.AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT.
