Very good Radio. Great Sound. Retro feel. Bought in year 2018. Still it is working fine without fault. Reception is good.

This is a very basic radio - tuner button, volume button, band selector & adapter input. It has no extra features like headphone socket or USB. However the signal pickup is very exceptional. It catches so many stations. It is delivered without any adapter or batteries. If you put your own batteries (D-size) you can take the radio wherever you go!!

Best in sound and reception quality far above from panasonic and sony. Outstanding performance in every bands such as MW FM TV but SW insome extent. I think SW programs/broadcast are day by day reduced or may not reach to the set. MW and FM takes it's place. The only things where improvement reduced are ordinary cabinet,no dial light,no transformer,no rechargeable battery, no blue tooth or USB support and the antenna is not placed in right position may be little front or back for free movement of handle. Still I like it's very low price i.e,below 1300/- and overall quality. The most remarkable future is it's signal receiving quality with less noise disturbance.

Pros: Clear Reception at least during a week usage of my friends radio set of exact same make, however mine had more issues like non functional battery cover deformed speaker grill and more, have asked for return, let see. I will share feedback about reception which is all any radio is about. Loud sound with clear reception, short wave reception under wide open sky is much better than ordinary radios, indoors you can not expect sw band to working well. All these cons or issues are usually true with most Indian local radio manufactures though never expected with Phillips. They should charge a premium but deliver a quality item which speaks itself from build quality as well. Cons: 1. Build quality of casing is below par. 2. Battery casing at the back does not fit well. 3. In my item front speaker grill was also distorted 4. No power adapter is another drawback. Looks like some low quality plastic mold used. 5. Phillips never sold such low quality build items 6. TV band is almost non functional Over all does not feel like usual philips quality does its job as for reception is concerned however build quality cheap and unfinished mold quality of plastic will kind make it look n feel cheap, that raised doubts about its authenticity , on the top of that the product does not come with any manual, warranty cards that usually most genuine philips products would carry. Verdict on a scale of 10 FM reception 8/10 MW 8/10 SW 9/10 under open sky TV 3/10 External Build quality 1/10

pros : was able to catch the fm anywhere inside the home which other radios struggled audio is very clear and loud as well delivery was on the same day and packing was decent cons: terrible build quality, the volume and tuning knobs will come off any time batter opener doesn't fit well for this price, at least Philips should give adapter. In this case no adapter and non batteries, you have to buy them all yourself the station range mentioned is out of context, thats a paper which doesn't match with indicator
