Loved it
I had been wishing to get this since a long time and finally it has arrived at my doorstep, I'm very happy with the product and would like to clear some complaints that others have posted in the review section.1) difficult to insertYes, one may find it difficult in the beginning, specially the virgins, because it pains a little while trying to expand the vagina, it's NOT because your virginity is being tampered with. Indians (specially) need to understand that virginity and hymen are Not mutually interrelated. This discomfort goes away with use. No one is born using this product, we have to learn it and it takes time.2) the cup not opening properly:You only have to make sure that it covers the cervix, which it does if you rotate it 360 degrees for a couple of times. That's all.3) size problemsPlease be sure of the length of your vagina by inserting a finger before and after periods, this way, you'll be aware if your uterus tends to descend during the days of flow.4) leakagesIt is not supposed to leak, unless your vaginal walls are too lax, the L size is recommended in such a case. If they're tight, M would be better even for older women. The cup is fairly big and holds much more blood than an average tampon or sanitary pads. However in the initial days of use when you are not too comfortable with it, a pad along with the cup can be used as an added protection.5) StemThe stem is necessary to aid in removal, so I will not recommend to remove the stem completely if it protrudes out. A few millimetres at a time should be enough until it stops tickling while you walk.Update: I removed the stem completely. It's perfectly fine without it.5) RemovalThis takes practice, so it is important that you try it a few times before the actual use. To remove the cup, hold the stem tightly and give it a slight tug from side to side till it starts lowering a bit, when it comes low enough, pinch the bottom to break the suction pressure and pul it outwards slowly. When the section breaks, it'll make a sound. Gently remove it while keeping upright to prevent spillage. Taking out usually doesn't hurt.OthersWhether you are menstruating or not, the vagina usually stays lubricated. It is easy to notice the white discharge. That'll help in insertion and removal.I've also seen some reviews warning against the packaging, I don't understand, how discreet do you want the package to be? Is the usual Amazon packaging not enough? It definitely doesn't shouts "hey there's a personal care item inside me" while being delivered. I recommend everyone to help in some publicity because this product is revolutionizing. Encourage your friends and relatives to use them. Learn about your body and help them clear their misconceptions.Again, getting used to using a cup takes time, please have patience. Try to learn all about it and your body too! Watch some YouTube videos, talk to your friends, there's no need to follow taboos anymore.Edit: Updating after 3 years of use. I have not bought a single pack of pads in the last three years. Have gotten used to Cup emptying schedule that suits my cycle. I have removed the stem off completely without compromising with the cup mobility. It's good and dandy as ever, just the colour has faded a bit and has a few marks from improper sterilization process, which is on me. Looks like it will easily last for atleast 3 more years. I'm saving almost ₹1200 every year, and I'm glad I chose a cup over everything else. I have converted atleast 8 friends into cup users. None of them have ever complained to me about it being hard beyond the initial days.

Tips on the usage of the Silky Cup.
The 10 years durability claim seems a little too far fetched but that does not mean you should not use the product. Silky Cup is a really good alternative to pads and tampons and every woman should definitely give it a try. The usage is the tricky part where most of the women hesitate and it's understandable to feel so. However, once you follow the instructions given in the pamphlet, you should be good to go. A few things that I discovered while using the cup are as follows-1. It will take some time to adjust to having a silicone cup up your vaginal canal. Insertion can be a tough job if you are unable to understand the instructions given.2. There are 3 ways to fold the cup to make it more convenient for insertion. Make sure to try out all the folds and not exert yourself or your genitalia. Watch videos on YouTube to help you with the same. The standard fold, or the C/U fold did not work for me.3. The cup has a stem protruding at the bottom and it is safe to trim it off if you do not need it or if it sticks out of the canal and feels prickly or uncomfortable. However, make sure that you do not nick the cup while doing so. The reason that the stem may jut out despite inserting and fitting the cup properly is that, your cervix is probably placed low and so the cup cannot be fitted any higher up the vaginal canal. If that is the case, you can trim the stem and solve the problem since you won't be needing it anymore because your cup would be well within the reach of your fingers in order to be pulled out. It took me several mildly painful hours before I found out what exactly is wrong.Hope this helps you make the switch more smoothly. On another note, really quick delivery and proper packaging by Amazon. 👍

HONEST REVIEW!!
This product is for those who not only care for their own health (as the product is FREE Of chemicals and doesn't absorb blood,it doesn't mess your natural pH and you don't have TSS that is toxic shock syndrome.) but also care for environmental (as the product is reusable and doesn't create toxic waste, like normal sanitary napkins and tampons do.)My experience with this was far better than the other alternatives available for menstruation.Insertion of cup is a bit difficult for the first time, but with practice it gets better. Remember, everything gets better with practice and patience only,no one was trained or was born skilled in their mother's womb.It might seem difficult ar first but soon would be a cup of tea for you as you discover the fold you like. The cup is available in three sizes ; Large,Medium and small.Mine is medium. There is a very small difference between them but recommended sizing is advised to prevent leakage. If you're pre-teen or very slim then go for small,if you have medium or below 30,don't have any child,go for medium,if you are above 30 and have given birth,go for large. Also check some charts online if you are not sure, take your time while buying.Once the cup is inside, make sure it's secured and the cup would open up inside. It should create suction.Rotate it 360 degree to make sure there not going to be any leakage. Once you feel a pull or suction whiling tugging stem, you are done. That's the vacuum created.Still if you want to be sure (for the first time),you can use a pad or panty liner for backup. The cup is designed for your comfort and to do your daily chores,so don't hesitate to do anything.I guarantee that you will not feel as if you are on your period. ( except cramps, which have no relation with the cup)You can infact swim, run, dance, play extreme sports etc.You can even SLEEP with it.You only have to make sure that it is not inside you more than 12 hours. Also the flow varies form women to women,so kindly empty it accordingly. While removing, just punch it a bit and rotate to undo suction, once that is done, pull the stem slowly and sure that cup upright to prevent spillage. To clean the cup,use water and mild soap after disposing..Wipe it clean with toilet paper. Please sterilise the cup before and after your cycle, this ensures hygiene. Place the cup in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Make sure there's enough water so that your cup doesn't get burned. After that keep it in the pouch that is provided if your cycle is completed.NOTE - People concerned about their virginity and hymen, note that those two are completely different from each other, and don't interdepend. Spread awareness about this revolutionary product and make your friends, relatives, etc use it.It's not only pocket-friendly,(as it can be reuseable for 10 years!) but also environmental-friendly.Help to get rid of the taboo of periods. Enjoy being a woman.Cheers!
