Provides true full flavor. The permanent metal filter is the best I have found and leaves the least amount of sediment. Paper filters tend to change the taste so this is a plus on its own. This is so much worth the few extra dollars for a truly great little coffeemaker an looks great on the cabinet as well.

This is a very good alternative to the small, straight sided Chemex 3-cup model. However, Agogo's stated capacity is misleading. You have to allow room right below the neck for either the included metal filter or the Melita style paper filters (which I prefer, one filter is all you need, more on this later). The maximum capacity, according to the numbers printed in white on the glass (a plus, something that Chemex does NOT provide) is 600ml, which translates to approximately 20 ounces. Unlike standard measurements of 8 ounces to a cup, in the coffee world, there are only 5 ounces to a cup, so the effective capacity of this is 4 cups, NOT 6. It is perfect for one person who wants a few cups of coffee, or two people who are just drinking a couple of small cups or one larger mug per person. Chemex has continued to become more pricey, and their 3 cup model (essentially the same size as this) is a third more expensive ($42). The glass on the Agogo does seem a tiny bit more robust, which is important, as every time I have had to replace one of these style pour over coffee makers it is due to the glass breaking. In regards to filters, the regular sized Melita filters (I prefer the natural brown over the white) work perfectly in this, as long as you make a couple of folds at the very bottom first (VERY important, otherwise the grounds will break through the bottom of the filter and fall into the liquid), and then fold each side in about an inch, leaving the top level all the way across. Just push slightly into the opening of the Agogo and it fits perfectly. Another plus is that it has a little Chemex style channel on the pouring side which is also very important. Without it, the filter makes too perfect a seal, it can't breathe properly and the coffee sputters all over the place, quite a mess. All in all, I would definitely recommend this for people who don't need a larger capacity pour over coffee maker, just be aware that the capacity is not as advertised.

The Agogo pour-through coffee maker is a beautiful kitchen tool. Borosilicate glass means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. The wooden grip ring keeps your fingers away from the hot glass when pouring. The model I got came with 50 sheets of pre-folded filter paper. The instructions on how to use it are not clear. The first time I put the filter's open seam over the pour channel. Messy mistake. Make sure that solid paper is over the pour channel, so that the tallest ears are on either side of the pour channel. The coffee was great. Filtering is better than a French press, which may not be desirable if you want some of the coffee "dust" to make your cup more interesting. ... The narrow neck makes it hard to wash. As soon as I use mine, I rinse it several times with the hottest water my system supplies to flush out oils and other residues from brewing.

Didn’t fit my pour over machine so I bought a bigger one. This one broke after the second use. Not sure if I got a bad one or what. Hopefully the other one will fit and not break.

I sadly moved and left this product but yes I absolutely loved this piece and will be ordering a new one soon. It's simple easy to clean and produces a delicious morning cup of coffee. Plus it's a nice esthetic touch to the coffee bar! The price is on point not too expensive you get a bang for your buck. Very easy to use all you gotta do is heat up some water add your coffee and pour the hot water over. Sip and enjoy!

Really like this item. I made a few pots of pour over coffee and enjoy the time it takes for the water to go through the ground coffee. I enjoy the peace and quiet it brings when I am feeling overloaded with life noise -- it's a calming ritual with a reward at the end. Delicious coffee! I hope the wood around the neck holds up well. It arrived in good condition and it's attractive to look at. It would work for an extra vase for flowers in a pinch too!

It worked great until the filter broke. i've gotten quite a while out of it. the welds around the steel lip broke and now the filter falls in. Be gentle with the filter, and this should last you a long time. It is a good product.

Sleek look, the filter is awesome and brews a great coffee. I highly recommend it for those that are steering away from those products that can create mold. So this option for a mold free coffee maker is suitable for me.
