Amazing even after a year!
Amazing stone for the price i paid 1500 INR including import duties and shipping, although a little small for a standard 9" Chef's Knife but gives amazing smooth edge. I've been using it for almost a year now, although the corners broke but because of mishandling, the stone itself did not deteriorate at all. It might need a little flattening but still does the job amazingly. The picture attached is after sharpening my 9" Atlantic Chef Knife with forced Patina after a year of use.

Too small for Chef knife
Too small for a chef knife and base is slippery. I wish base had sticky patches to hold it on the place. But this problem can be solved in other ways. But size problem making it extremely ineffective n hard to use.

The item was delivered with the user manual in Japanese. I could not know which side is finer (3000 or 100?).

Too short for a good size chef's knife. Should have mentioned the actual dimension with the product.

Good buy. Pays for itself.
Great stone. Don't really need the 3000 grit but it beats the hell out of the Canadian tire job on the 1000. Soak for 15 min's, build up slurry, keep wet as you go, and rub till you are happy. Will have to level it on a table with sandpaper in a year or so as it doesn't come with a levelling stone. Good buy though. Could be bigger....
