Excellent value for the price. Well written and informative with many period photos.
Great for historians and researchers. If you are looking for lush colour photos this is not the book for you. This is like a Ken Burns documentary about the 300SL - that is a good thing. The text is very informative and well written.

Good SL Gullwing photo history
Bought this book as I bought other books by Ludvigsen. The photo quality is excellent with full pages devoted to a photo. Many photos are period I have never seen before especially those inside the factory showing the cars being produced. I strongly recommend this book for the Mercedes enthusiast or anyone interested in the Gullwing.

not as advertised
I purchased the extended battery for my I4S phone because I travel and i dont always have the time or the means to charge the phone.I have had this extended battery for less than a week and the charge lasts less than the regular battery. I am sorry I didnt keep the return label. I will have to go to the AT & T store or the apple store and get a new one. I guess this was a bad investment.

Essential for a Mercedes-Benz library
Mr Ludvigsen nearly provides the complete development and history of the Mercedes-Benz 300SL. A little bit more, as he exhibited in "Mercedes-Benz Quicksilver Century", and it could have been the definitive work on the W198.
