The reviews are confusing because they relate to a number of different Gardena Hose Trolleys. This review is for the Metal Hose Trolley 100.The instructions for assembly are not ideal. For example there are 6 screws - 2 shorter and 4 longer. The instructions do not specify which screws to use, so you have to consider the options and decide for yourself.The last stage of inserting the central hose union through the hub and securing it with the hose connector on the outside is not clearly shown. It does not say where the gasket goes and there is one part which does not fit easily - it pushes in from the outside but does not go far enough to enable the hose connector to be screwed on. When you are confident enough that you are doing the right thing you can push it in using reasonable force.Once assembled the trolley is excellent. Because it is designed to be laid down for winding in and pulling out the hose, it does not fall over. Winding in is very easy - ideally from a high position to drain the hose as you do it, and the hose guide is easy to manipulate to get a tidy roll.I intend to keep the trolley inside so I am not concerned about corrosion resistance. The large wheels make it very easy to put away.It may seem expensive but consider how much time you will save and frustration you will avoid compared to cheaper options.

Ok, so after putting up with a leaky hose that was loose (and 20m of loose hose is not fun to put away!) for far too long I decided it was time to get something that did not frustrate every time it was used!Gardena are known as being makers of excellent quality hoses and associated products.This comes with the hose attached to the reel, you just need to connect the hose to the frame (it is obvious) and fit your own nozzle for spraying.It uses the standard hose fittings so yes, your Hozelock or any other brand stuff should fit fine.The hose is strong, does not kink easily and appears to be far better quality that the old hose (truly, do not buy cheap hose, it becomes a persistent reminder of a dumb decision!)It is also surprising how much better your water flow is when you don't have leaks!Now my niggles come with the cart.It is easy to transport around, (assuming you have remembered to disconnect from the tap first....), BUT the "leg" that comes out to give you the stability is flimsy and floppy (moves far too easily).This means that you need to keep going back to put it back in place if the cart moves a little.I have made a modification now to make it better, but I am disappointed that this was allowed through design and testing.On the plus side, the hose laying feature to ensure the hose is evenly rolled back on to the reel is very good and works well.Overall, I am pleased with it, and I expect it will last many years, it is just the engineering side of me that picks fault here.Recommended? Yes. There is a reason that most garden centres use Gardena equipment. :)

I needed a replacement hoze and cart as my well served old one gave up the ghost. After much searching I came across this one. What attracted me to it was its clever roll system an the Gardena brand. Setting it up was a breeze and so far has performed better than expected. Money well spent despite the hefty price tag.

It arrived today and I can already say it’s the best hose-reel I’ve ever owned.It’s also the most money I’ve ever spent on one but I was really impressed with the design and functionality.The hose-reel guide is brilliant! It makes the whole rewinding process an absolute dream and you can tell that the hose included is a quality one.It also came ready assembled which I wasn’t expecting and was an added bonus. (I’d already watched a YouTube tutorial in preparation for its arrival)! All the connections are also included.I went onto Gardena’s website to double check the maximum capacity and it states 50m for this particular model, (60m if it’s 13mmm hose) but once it’s been unraveled and filled with water I’m a little sceptical about that figure.If I needed a 50m hose I’d think I’d be tempted to go for the L instead of the M.For my garden 20m is the perfect length.How long it will stand the test of time who knows but it appears to be a quality product and I’m looking forward to a tangle-free and perfectly wound garden hose.UPDATE: I ended up buying the 30m (15mm) Gardena Comfort High Flex to replace the 20m (13mm) that came with the reel.I would most definitely advise buying the L Reel if you’re planning to get a 50m hose. As you can see from the photo the 30m (15mm hose) only just fits comfortably with out the risk of overhanging the edges of the reel.

The product is not as robust as suggested by the advert. Mine arrived with one of the plastic bars detached. It had to be forced back on but the mounting could easily detach again. The picture seems to show a fully loaded drum and the advert says that it has 60m capacity. It comes with a somewhat measly 20m which looks very different from the advert picture. I hope it last for the duration of the 5 year warranty, but I doubt it. Don't forget to register it, however.

Always hated putting away a hose, especially when putting away 30m+ It requires so much effort to wind it in. Winding in with one hand, guiding with the other, then standing on the reel base whilst crouched.I did want an auto reel but having nowhere to mount it as I run hose down the side of the house. So an auto reel could be stolen if left in place. This Gardena Easy is the next best solution. The hose winds in really easily. The plastic all appears to be strong, this replaced a reel which was a bit flimsy.No leaks at the connections, works well paired with the Gardena Superflex Hose. 50m fitted on fine.Only negative is it doesn’t lay the hose perfectly next to each other. There is a small gap which affects how neatly it winds on the to reel.

I bought one of these reels last year. Holding up well, so I bought a 2nd for my back yard. Exact same reel unfortunately the short hose they supplied to attach to the spigot is huge. It has 1" quick connects at each end, but this hose reel uses 1/2" connectors. Nobody carries 1" quick connects, so that means I have to buy a short hose and 1/2" quick connects. Expensive hose reel, and now added expense I didn't expect.

Davvero soddisfatto del prodotto: i materiali sono ottimi e l'avvolgimento avviene davvero senza problemi.Prima capitava spesso che il tubo si arrotolasse tutto da un lato del rullo: grazie alla bobina che scorre da un lato all'altro l'avvolgimento è ora omogeneo.Davvero consigliato.

Tutto regge e tutto tiene, senza sgoccilamenti o altro (recensione dopo primo uso). L'insieme, comunque, lascia ben sperare sul mantenimento della qualità e della resistenza

Der Gardena_Schlauchwagen ist ein sehr gutes Modell, einfach in der Montage und Handhabung. Er hat eine sehr hohe Standfestigkeit und Stabilität. Beim Abrollen des Schlauches ist der ausklappbare Standbügel des Schlauchwagens von Vorteil, da der Schlauchwagen aufgebockt wird, die Räder in der Luft sind und dadurch eine hohe Standfestigkeit erzielt wird. Es wird dadurch beim Abrollen des Schlauches ein Nachlaufen und Kippen des Schlauchwagens unterbunden. Beim Aufrollen des Schlauches ist die Schlauchumlenkrolle sehr vorteilhaft, weil der Gartenschlauch besonders sauber und zeitsparend aufgerollt wird. Ein sehr gut gelungenes Produkt der Fa. Gardena! Kein Fehlkauf! Gerät ist sehr empfehlenswert!

The trolley is built really well, with a metal drum and plastic shell. The included hose and sprayer head are decent as well. Comes with a couple of extra fittings to make sure the set matches your connections. Only downside is that the initial assembly (it comes pre-assembled) is a bit leaky when you run water through the hose. Not that big of a deal, since you can easily lift the reel and screw on the fitting tighter - but at a 100+ EUR price point I was not expecting having to disassemble to tighten.
