A Joy to Cook From—Endlessly Adaptable and Delicious
Absolutely love this cookbook so far—every recipe I’ve tried has been a hit! You can tell that each dish was tested and developed with real care and intention. What I especially appreciate is how easy it is to adapt the recipes to fit your preferences or dietary needs.As a pescatarian, I’ve swapped tempeh in for chicken in a few recipes (like the blueberry salad—to die for!), and the flavors still shine through beautifully. I even used the leftover dressing from that salad to make a blueberry-glazed salmon the next night, and it was just as incredible. I also added rice to the pan-fried fish and citrus salad, and it made for a perfect meal.The flexibility and inspiration in this book make me excited to keep cooking. Every recipe feels like a winner, and I can’t wait to post more photos as I go. So proud of Meredith and happy to support her journey—this cookbook is a true gem!

Exceeded my expectations!
I have LOVED this book so far. Even though I live in California with not the same seafood options I know I will be able to make a ton of these recipes. I can tell Meredith poured her heart into this as so many details are well thought out from the cute illustrations (my one year old daughter loves!), to the beautiful photography, and recipes that feel approachable for beginners, but also have a wow factor. Thank you Wishbone kitchen! I’m looking forward to cooking through your book!

Pretty Book, Great Coastal Menu
The book arrived in great condition. I have followed Meredith on social media for quite a while and have made a handful of her recipes, some of which are in the book, so I was really excited to get my hands on this! While I obviously haven’t yet worked through the whole book, I have skimmed and I really like how the book is infused with her personality. The photos are beautiful and the food looks great. Not a massive amount of variety in the recipes, but I think that’s appropriate as she does kind of have a niche that she does very well. Can’t wait to make more of these!

Wishbones kitchen killed it !
Long time fan of Meredith’s, started following her Wishbone kitchen TikTok account when she had less than 5000 followers and have been a dedicated fan ever since. I’ve fallen along with her, have made and loved so many of her recipes. Long time fans know this isn’t actually her first “cookbook”. I previously purchased two of her past e-books and have loved all the recipes, and frequently go to them for meal inspiration. So excited and love already what’s in this book and can’t wait to cook through it.

Love love love!!
Already my favorite cookbook. The book itself is beautiful. Gorgeous photos and watercolors. Have made a bunch of recipes so far and all have been delicious. I love the tips she includes and that there are often shortcuts if you don’t want to take all the steps (like subbing a store bought pesto or chili crunch in a more involved recipe). It’s organized well and hosting ideas are included.

A must in every kitchen
I read every page of this book the night it arrived. I love the simplicity yet deliciousness of this book. I am not the best chef but, find the recipes doable. Don’t skip on this book.

This cookbook is EVERYTHING! So many amazing recipes from entrees to sandwiches to cocktails. Has something for everyone. The tomato butter cod is my favorite

Repetitive, great for coastal chefs—gorgeous photography
I love her Instagram and tik tok content, but the book was one note to me. The styling and photography is stunning, but it felt repetitive. It has lots of simple seafood recipes, but I think the protein in those instances is what makes the dish sing; not the accompaniments. It felt like they tried to stretch a handful of recipes into a full book. I am going to keep the book and try to work through the recipes, but it’s not as great as I hoped. If you are a big seafood lover or live on the coast I recommend it for summer dinner parties ( her specific vibe), as a midwesterner I probably won’t reach for it.
