Game changer
My husband has had 2 full ankle replacements. The 1st one, we didn't know about this truly revolutionary product. During rehab, his therapist knew he'd have another surgery & asked why he didn't have one yet. We didn't know they existed! My husband complained that once he had the surgery, after the implant was put in, his hips were no longer aligned which caused him pain. He was visibly taller on the operated side vs the unoperated side & with the walking boot patients are put in after surgery, he was much taller on theat side over the other. His gait changed after the surgery because one ankle was no longer in pan (HOORAY!) however, that too started causing hip pain.Once we got the lift, things changed for the better. The height difference from the operated vs unoperated side evened right out. It isn't the coolest looking invention but it works & it's short term. With his most recent, 2nd ankle replacement, we knew exactly how to care for him once the hard cast came off & the walking boot went on; get out the shoe lift. So far his hips feel good & his strides are even. He is definitely the guy who likes to look cool but for that guy right now, he's more pleased with how he's not in additional pain like he was last time & he's committed to healing so he can get back to looking cool ;)I wish we would have known about this option sooner. If you're wondering "does it really work?" or "does it really make that much of a difference?" The answer to both is a resounding yes! It isn't the coolest looking, but if the wearer has dark shoes, it shoes a lot less & honestly, you only have to wear it a short time after surgery, so it's worth it to feel as good as one can during their healing process.

Check correct size for shoe size
Very easy to use and attach to shoe. I wear a 7 1/2 shoe, so the small worked best. The only thing I dislike, is that when I first started wearing it it kept pulling my shoe of my heel. After I wore it for a few hours, it stopped doing that . Without wearing this, I was having a lot of hip pain. This made a world of difference.

This product works so well with my walking boot. You don’t feel feel uneven it helps with balance. I will never not have one of these on hand in case I hurt my leg again.

Made well but too thick to wear with my boot
I bought this in preparation for my Tendon repair surgery. I was too much ahead of the timeline as I was Non Weight Bearing for 7 weeks, so by the time I needed to use this (today) I found out it was too thick, thus my non affect leg was longer than my injured leg, and now it's out of the window to return it. My fault.

Thickness and length of extender
Great idea but not enough info in description to fit the right thickness to match to the boot thickness and thickness and length of the sole of the shoes you will be wearing. Should go by shoe size for men or women and thickness of the sole of your shoe. Should also depend on the thickness of the boot sole so you know how high the extender should be. It was too tall unless I wore a very thin soled shoe. Should also correspond to the length of your shoe. Otherwise will still provide an uneven gait.

Balances your walk
I had to use a tall grey boot when I broke a bone in my right foot. Walking with the boot was throwing my back out and causing back pain and spasms. My podiatrist recommended this balancing shoe that attaches to my regular shoes and corrects the difference making walking easier and less effect on my back. I give it 5 stars!

This thing worked.
I am wearing a boot on my left ankle because I ruptured my left Achilles tendon, so my legs were not the same length which was killing my lower back. With the spacer on my boot, my legs are equal which saves my back.
