I typically buy small size shirts so I bought a small. It is form fitting but not excessively tight, which is what I wanted since I was planning to wear these under my scrubs. If you're on the border of two sizes or do not want a form fitting shirt buy a size up. The material is soft and stretchy. After the first wash, the collar of the shirt got a little wavy but did not make a difference once I put it on. Very minimal complaint if any.
