I was so happy to find this color enhancing shampoo, that you can build up to the depth of color you want!! I started out leaving it on a short time as I didn’t really want anyone to notice I was covering my 25% of white and 75% mousey brunette hair. It was losing its luster, looking bland. Even though I still have fabulous curls, and great skin.My hair color was not going to age gracefully as I had planned for it. I did not want to go for monthly color or 2-3 month highlights, both never look natural.Over a couple weeks, I built up the time I left the color shampoo on. I say a couple weeks because as a gal with shoulder length curlies, we condition wash more than shampoo wash. And we use a ton of conditioner in general for proper curlies. Non of that wash, rinse, conditioner, rinse straight gals get to do. Curlies have their own, different rules.Once I built up to the color depth I wanted, I now just shampoo into the roots, and wash into the ends to add depth, before a shower. You “wash” in your color on dry hair. You can do this in the shower and shave your legs I suppose, while you clip your hair up. I haven’t tried that.By the time I massage it in, then comb it thru my ends, it’s time to shower wash it. Then I deep condition. Curlies, remember. Not everyone needs this step.This color shampoo holds its color, shine, depth. Both my daughter and I use it. We both think it makes our hair appear thicker. We put it on our eyebrows too.We both give it two thumbs up. It is like a creamy silky feel, smells nice, rinses out easy, and no color marks on your skin.If you have sensitive skin, give an extra good rinse. You’ll probably use your normal shampoo and conditioner after this, or whatever your routine is.We used:•Wild Honey•Chestnut BrownAs these were closest to our natural hair colors.We have been using for a few months and have been exceptionally pleased.Will purchase again!!

I Hate the gray hair popping out on me now. I didn't want to deal with the cost and aggravation of going to the hair salon to cover it. I hesitated buying this, but I love it! You just shampoo it in and follow the directions. There is no ammonia and it covers my gray really well. When you first use it you may want to leave it on for less time than recommended to make sure you get the color you want. I found out that, for me, if I left this on too long it would make the color too light and more orangey brown than what I wanted. You may want to test it on a small bit of your hair until you know what works best for you.Since then I have found the right amount of time I need to get the deep brown that I wanted. I have very thick hair which I keep at chin level. I Still have plenty left to use even though I have fully reapplied this 2 times and 2 times to touch up the hair near my ears which turn gray faster for some reason. It smells nice and leaves my hair soft. It is a great value for the money. They give you plastic gloves and a plastic hair net so it doesn't drip down. After the first use I just use my uncovered hands and a towel if needed. I do it over the sink and any excess easily washes away and does not stain my hands or sink. It even washes out of the towels I use, but make sure your clothing is protected just in case. If you have been debating about covering your gray, but don't want to start going to the salon every 4-6 weeks and deal with the chemicals this may be the one for you.

This hair color shampoo is very good, it covers my gray hair perfectly, being my hair jet black, and it lasts quite a long time, so I don't have to use it every 2 weeks or less, I can wait much longer to use it again. What I like most is that you can apply it right before bathing without having to wait as long as regular hair dyes. I think it's so great that I will keep buying it, it's very easy to use, you only need some gloves and 15 minutes to wash your hair as usual, and it leaves your hair shiny. I have already recommended it to other people.

Received this morning, and already tried it. Love it, great and even color. No damage, no breakage. I have very fine hair, and this didn't do any damage. I will be buying it again, and telling everyone to try it. I have a parrot, and can't use those harsh smelling dyes. My husband even noticed there was no bad smells! There is even plenty left to use again and again! It is a large bottle, should last awhile. If you are uncertain just give it a try, and then decide. I will update if I notice anything in time. If you are even thinking about it try it. I put it in and then organized my closet while it worked. No wasted time no wasted money.
