Stone Case Company STBag-4BJ Padded Banjo Gig Bag

I was looking for a banjo gig bag. This works perfect, not really any padding, but it keeps the dust off the banjo. When traveling it keeps it protected from scratches and such, it wouldn't do much if it was dropped or somehting was dropped on it. It does have a front pocket, however, it is almost big enought for a normal piece of paper, but not quite. It would have been nice if the pocet was a little bigger to hold music sheets. Overall I am pleased and would recommend this product, if you are looking for a gig bag.

Bought this after returning a different bag in the same price range...this is much improved. This is probably the most basic gig bag you can get. The construction and materials are quality, but my one complaint is that the padding is noisy, it sounds like a piece of tissue paper rubbing constantly.

Good zipper, nice handle and fairly large pocket. The case is not well padded like some others but it costs much less. If you have a "good" banjo that you take out of the house to play I would go for more padding. But for a stay-at-home instrument, this case will provide adequate protection.

Considering the price, I have little to complain about with this bag. I really only bought it to provide some basic protection, and I'm not really a gigging musician. If I was I'd but a much sturdier bag. This one has padding, but it really is minimal. If you keep all your instruments at home and want some basic protection, this bag does the trick. If you want a bag that is thick, tough and padded heavily for transporting or gigging I believe there are better options.

Great bag for a great price. Bag fit my Jameson 5 string 24 bracket banjo like a glove, its made of a good looking heavy nylon that has about 1/4 inch of padding all around, the zippers work smoothly, its got the padded back pack straps and nice comfortable one hand carrying handle (not just a 1" strip nylon), it has a nice big nick-nak pouch, and all the strap connection points are double reinforced and double stitched. This is a great bag for toting my banjo to a from lessons.

This case is more of a cover case than a protection case but thats just what I wanted and it works fine for whats its for.

For the price, it's exactly what I expected: a zip-up bag that easily fits my banjo and accessories, and provides a small amount of padding against drops or other collisions. The bag looks decent and keeps my instrument from getting dusty or scratched when not in use or traveling. The bag straps can also be adjusted so that it may be slung over one shoulder or worn over both like a backpack -- something I didn't pay attention to before I purchased, but have been very happy with.

This case does the job of a gig bag. It protects your banjo from scratches and maybe small drops which is all you can really expect. However I would not call it padded. The case has maybe 1/8 of an inch of padding which is pointless.
