Great picture, good sound and amazing price
After doing a ton of research, this TV won my money and after getting it set-up, I certainly made the right choice. Looks stunning on my wall with such a clear picture. Sould isn't bad either and I will quite happily use the speakers over my soundbar for general use. The price is a winner and so much cheaper over other brands. I had an OLED LG that was amazing but sadly suffered with screen burn after watching sky news during the pandemic, so kinds put off OLED.

Shocking sound
The tv is great for gaming and watching Blu-ray. Using a fire stick or streaming not so good. The upscaling is non existent. The processors are just not in the same league as your Sony, Samsung, LGs. The main issue is the sound. It’s appalling. It’s meant to have the updated speakers, but they’re shocking! I have a 10 quid shower speaker that sounds better. I get that most use a soundbar, however, having an upgraded built in speaker set up, I expect more than this. It’s unacceptable really, even though it’s a cheap TV.

TCL better than Samsung now
Wow!!!! I am surprised all my life I’ve been loyal to Samsung but actually bit the bullet and vote this TCL. All I can see is I’ve been missing out the quality of the picture is probably better than Samsung. The interface is quick and the set up was so easy a child could do it. I would definitely recommend TCL to anybody always in the market for a TV.

Super Bright and good anti Judder, check for DSE when it arrives
Had to send the first one back: it had terrible "Dirty Screen Effect" / DSE I suspect it didn't pass Quality Control and sold by a 3rd party rather than Amazon. The replacement is almost perfect and brighter. When you get yours, run 5% grey test on youtube to test that the brightness is uniform across the screen. It became obvious with snowy scenery. The screen is really bright, I rarely run it at 100% brightness. The Anti Judder is really smooth, though see some strange motions occasionally but compared to other brands I've tried it's good. Colour also good, though I use the blue light filter on it most of the time. Easy to install software with Google Play store being there; Kodi etc. Kodi only detects 4k screen at 60Hz, I don't have any sources to plug into the 144hz hdmi ports to test it with. Sound wise, I have an external Onkyo Amp that's about 15 years old but the ARC port support both ARC and E-ARC. I've never really tried the built-in speakers.

No BBC iPlayer
I have held off providing a review for this TV which I bought to replace an existing Samsung. A lot of research between 10's of different TV's led me to buying when tired, thinking that this model supported BBC iPlayer, which was important to me. It doesn't and despite following up with TCL for a Roku device which appeared to be on offer for a while I had no joy, with TCL promising an update to the firmware which would fix the problem. After 4 months of waiting and despite repeated requests for an update I have had no joy. Would have given a higher rating but apparent lack of care to customers who spend significant money says it all. I suggest, if BBC iPlayer is important to you, don't buy. If firmware update arrives I would consider upgrading the rating but not counting on it
