My dogs love it but…
I have two dogs who are mutts, one is 45 pounds and the other is 15 pounds. The larger one loves balls and chewing on things and destroying them when bored. The smaller one doesnt get crazy for balls and much as she loves fuzzy things and destroying things when bored. So theses wool balls were a great play thing for them so i feel like it deserves 4 stars. But, I wanted to give 3 stars because there are tuffs and puffs and strands and strings of wool on my carpet and somehow also outside lol. I made sure to not let them eat it bc im not how digestible wool is for dogs! I wish they lasted longer.

Nice for indoor play.
Good stuff for indoor play! These are basically the woolen dryer balls, but have been colored, and since they are said to be organic, presumably colored with non-toxic dyes. Our standard poodle finds them interesting enough to pursue them when they roll under furniture, but will sometimes ignore them for days on end. I liked them enough that I ordered a second set; they are soft enough that glass on storage cabinets is not at great risk if hit when one of these is (gently) tossed. But as for using them outdoors? Well, maybe. It depends on your dog, your climate, and your willingness to pick up toys when playtime is over.I have not tried to wash these. We limit play with these to indoors. Our standard poodle can be a fairly aggressive chewer of toys. She hasn't destroyed one of these (yet), but sometimes pulls at the wool, loosening it. When I see this happening, I trade the ball for something harder, such as an antler. Then, dampening the ball's surface, patting the errant fibers into place and putting it out of her reach while it dries has worked well.

GREAT BALLS!!!!!!!!!!
My new puppy is a mini Australian Shepherd and his favorite toy was a wool bone. I purchased these wool balls because of that. Fortunately, these balls are much sturdier than the wool bone...he has managed to chew the bone into pieces over a three-week period. The balls are great because there doesn't seem to be a way for him to chew off a piece. The best thing about these wool balls though is that they are soft and we can play fetch in the house. A great way to wear off some of that puppy energy. I would definitely buy these again.

These are nice but…
These balls are nice and fit the description given by the seller. However, the didn’t hold the attention of one of squeaky toy loving dogs and when she played with one she managed to unravel it in to a long snake shape. I was thankful she didn’t swallow it. If your dog will swallow anything and everything, use caution!

Overall great ball, some small cons
My 4 dogs love these balls! Unfortunately we have a aggressive chewer (78 lb, female, Spinone Italiano-Siberian Husky, rescue) who intentionally tears into these ripping bit by bit out. She pulls chunks out with her front teeth in a matter of 30 seconds or so, I don't let her sit and work at it. That's all she wants to do. The balls she's gotten her mouth on are still very much intact, just a tiny bit lopsided from her tearing at them. There are many fibers packed tightly to create these balls. I'm sure she could destroy them if I just left them sitting out, and I'd be concerned with her getting plugged up swallowing the fibers. I recommend you watch your dog with these at all times if they like to rip the fuzz off tennis balls, gut stuffed toys, and other destructive behaviors around toys.My other dogs chase, drop it and smack at it with their paws, fetch it, and chomp on it with their whole mouth (which does no damage to the ball or them). They are so excited and get great enjoyment out of the wool balls. The wool balls fit into a Chuck-It launcher which is what I had in mind when buying these. I also like the fact that they are different from the orange rubber Chuck-It balls that everyone else brings to the park. Oftentimes at the park other dogs will get our orange Chuck-It ball and obliterate it, or the balls get switched, then we end up with the damaged ball and they go home with a nice one. We've gone through at least 10 of those balls within a year (we go to the park nearly every day). These wool balls hold up to the dogs that chew at the park, usually with the entire ball in their mouth chewing on it like a piece of gum. They stand up to that kind of punishment which is great. If you use them with a launcher they won't fly as far because they are light weight. We have a large collie mix that is super fast and loves to fetch long distance. So although the distance isn't as great, all the other benefits come into play while within a dog park. Sometimes we play fetch with him outside the dog park and at that point prefer the rubber balls that launch better.

Great
My dog is picky about toys and absolutely lives these. The cat enjoys them on occasion, too!

Not for large dogs
The quality pretty good. I like the concept and non toxicity which is why I bought them.I’d always had nylon or rubber balls before and worried about the time they spent in my dogs mouth and about their safetyI took these wool balls outside- big mistakeThey collect a-lot of dirt and debris and because my dogs smash them as they retrieve them they would flatten somewhat so I’d have to squeeze them back into form after every pass.I would highly recommend them for medium size dogs and to be used indoors only ( which is what I do now)
