I purchased this product specifically to filter return air grilles, but I am sure that it would also work on the forced air registers if I wanted. I found this air filter incredibly easy to cut and install, and I love that it can be adjusted to fit any size. I have non-standard size return air grilles that I used this product on, and I've noticed a significant reduction in dust in my home. Very nice, easy to use. Just cutt it to the size you need. I didn't use the sticky dots it came with because it rips the paint off my vent covers. So I just slid it in which is another recommended way of using them!

This is exactly what I wanted. It came in a box and inside was a large square folded white filter that's 20 inches by 100 inches long enclosed in a plastic bag. It does have those stickers, which I won't use. I plan to use part of it as an air filter for my window fan(s) when I don't use the central A/C and to cut up strips for my four Holmes air cleaners. I bought the pre-cut strips from a box store a while back and these are exactly the same. I do re-wash the ones I have in my Holmes air filters even though it doesn't say you can wash them. I've done it many times and they come out fine wash after wash, although I do have a mesh pre-filter on top of it. They are durable and do a great job of filtering air, but it does not have a MERV air efficiency number. They work well. I would buy these again.

I used 12/6 sets of Velcro circles and 4 inches of Velcro tape, to hold the filter on a smaller floor register. Still blown off of vent with furnace. I put it back on twice, still blows off. Only did one floor register, all of the other registers (5), was open.Restricts air flow, badly. Very disappointed.
