Spider Guard Web-Flex Athletic Cup, Adult Teen & Youth

Just like everyone has previously stated, the cup is wider and more shallow than the more traditional cups. It also has a squared bottom. That part I like as it fits my jocks better. 90% of all my jocks have a squared bottom and the cup doesn't slide around inside the sleeve. I hated this cup in the beginning. Just for shiggles I was reading their FAQs page; I had been wearing it with my "boys" positioned incorrectly. Not that I had the cup upside down, I had my boys placed incorrectly. Read ”Proper Cup Placement" in the FAQ @ [...]Now it's super comfortable.I do love the majority of this cup. However, there are a few pros/cons. I play hockey and I love to fight. I'm a big Shock Doctor fan but, I also have Diamond, Jaco, and UA. SD's more expensive stuff with the X-Fit system will stay my goto but, this cup replaced all my softer cups. Here are my pros:1: Total Breathability - not sure if I'm the only one who suffers from cup smell after a good sweat. ...pull off the jock and DAMN! No more stinky and means I can wear my jock one more time. Hey, I'm lazy I know!2: Fits - Though it does look big, it does fit in all my gear and the shape fits me more comfortably.3: Light Weight - it's not heavy like some hard plastic ones.Ok. Here is what I don't like.Cons:1: Soft Sides - Ever have that random slapshot bounce off your thigh and hit you in the side of your "boys" mid step? I have and this doesn't do a bit of good for the glancing side blows; as the sides are rubbery and too flexible.2: I see your cup - If you decided to not shower, not take it off, and head straight home, everyone will see it as the top sticks out an inch or more. All my other cups just make me look more "blessed". This makes me a little embarrassed to walk around in public with the top rim poking way out.All-in-all, this is a comfy cup with great head on protection. I will just have to continue wearing my titanium cup playing hockey. ;).*UPDATE*I stopped using this cup. It had it's cool factor time and that quickly left. Weighing the benefit factors versus the cons, I found myself wondering what this cup is good for. Besides a direct frontal assult, it's useless. I ended up always finding a need to use a different cup. Maybe bicycling so your frontal poof looks next level in the tight pants or so you don't crush your boys on the riser for the handlebar? I dunno but, I decided it's a novelty now. :(

This is for any sport you might skip a cup. If you feel that you need a cup for jujitsu would be great for that. It reduces accidental bumps and bangs but will not protect a catcher or hockey goalie. Not for MMA or striking sports. If you wouldn't play your sport without a cup than this isn't the cup for you. It does move with you and you don't notice it and it's much more protective than nothing but it will only reduce and distribute impact it won't stop anything.

It's wider than a lot of cups, especially at the bottom. This makes it hard to fit in the slot of many compression shorts, especially my large ones. If you happen to stretch it in, at least for mine, it digs into the thighs. I could potentially see it being great for other sports where compression shorts aren't used. It seems definitely sturdy enough for protection from hard hits. But for grappling I didn't like it.

I really want to like this product, because like another reviewer I want a cup I can grapple with. So first the good is that its obviously flexible so there is no cup digging into hip socket (ouch!) because of its great flexibility. However it is to wide at the bottom compared to most other cups (I have a McDavid but I think most cups are shaped like this), so it chaffs unless my legs are spread farther apart then most cups are. Again I know cups are never as comfortable but cup free.So I am thinking of ordering another cup (I got the adult) but my concern is the cup already presses close against my junk in comparison to my other cup which is roomier. So if I get a smaller size I don't want the "room" to get smaller where it will therefore give less adequate protection and possibility of pinching (FFFF...Ouch!).If you look at the photos you can see how it is to wide, but more shallow than other cup.One final note is that I wish this cup had the middle gray/black band designed to be much more rigid, but only the gray band, I love the flexibility of the cup. I think if the gray/black band down the middle was much more rigid, while keeping the flexibility of the rest of the cup, this would be the perfect sports cup.

The traditional full cups don't compare to a flexible cup like this. Not much else to add, good fit, tends to have a lower profile (doesn't extend out as much) so doesn't always look like you're wearing a cup (depending what you wear over)

My son said it was very shallow and so it got tossed into the pile of jocks he won't wear.I'm sure it's a good enough product but just wasn't the right fit for my son, he chose the Shock Doctor Men's BioFlex Cup (X-Large) jock that I purchased at the same time and is finally content with having to wear that one ...

I was really excited for it, but on the inside there are some really sharp edges (I'm assuming from the way it's held durring production) that make it impossible for me to use. I may be able to modify it for my uses but as it comes, I would not recomend this item to ANYONE.

I have ordered this product over the years multiple times I thought I ordered an adult large it was a youth large I donated it to my Academy and now I can’t seem to find an adult large. The product is outstanding but it seems there is no stock available

Must get if you do Bjj. It’s a flex cup so you don’t get complaints about it from your training partners. It’s saved me on many occasions.

The seller was great.The cup isn't as good as it seems. It's a little too flexible for a cup.... I found it was pinching my goods as it was flexing.
