The stories here are collected from 2005-2009, and amount to 430 pages of comics, plus sketches and miscellaneous art work. This volume reprints the BPRD stories `The Dead' #1-5; `War on Frogs' #1-4; `The Black Flame' #1-6; along with `Born Again' and `Revival'. The stories and artwork are excellent. This volume and the associated Hellboy Library collections, offer the `original' paperback collections at a cheaper rate than the originals, in an excellent hardbound format, along with extra material. This is excellent comics at an excellent value.A spin-off from the Hellboy comics series, the B.P.R.D. was given its own series after the events of `The Conqueror Worm' - see  Hellboy Library Edition Volume 3: Conqueror Worm And Strange Places (Hellboy Library Edition (Dark Horse))  - when Hellboy resigned from the organisation to go off exploring into the darker corners of their universe.
