PG Tips has been my personal favorite ever since my first cup. Incredibly rich, smooth with a nuance of bitter tannin, complemented with cream or milk (of course) to produce a satisfying cup of tea that also packs quite a punch (replacing your morning coffee). I bought this, fully aware of what to come but what amazed me wasn't the product but the service by 'Cooking Marvellous'. I live in Japan where PG Tips is nowhere to be found, so I looked through the sellers hoping to find one that is willing to ship internationally. The package arrived swiftly but to my surprise it contained Decaffeinated PG Tips. I immediately contacted 'Cooking Marvellous' (without much hope) explaining the mishap and to my amazement they shipped me the original PG Tips 80 Pyramid Teabags 250 g (Pack of 6) no questions asked AND they let me keep the Decaffeinated PG Tips (which has an unnoticeable distinction) as an apology! Two thumbs up for the sincere customer service! Thank you Cooking Marvellous for fulfilling my PG needs!

Taste is of course a personal thing - a reviewer elsewhere found these lacking in taste, but for me they are a welcome alternative from another brand of strong tea and I like to alternate them simply so my taste buds can spot the difference and wake up again. Occasionally I get really bold and stick one of each in the mug! My tip if you like delicate flavours, AND a strong tea to put hairs on your chest, is to take a large mug and put one light delicate flavoured high-grown tea bag in with one of these sock-it-to-you monsters and hey presto! - you have the best of both worlds. Go on, be bold, live a bit! The pyramid shape of these bags is just a nonsense gimmick, BUT it makes them easier to extract from the cup or the mug (unless you still use a teapot, you old traditionalist!) Cheers! Not pyramid bags. Not as advertised. Massively overpriced normal tea bags - feel like I’ve been scammed.

I always preferred PG to other teas, it's good value for money but I am really disappointed about the the expiry date in November this year, I don't drink a lot of tea and I leave alone so I'll have to give some away to friends. Because of that I will not purchase it anymore.
