As a small Yorkie breeder with Yorktown Yorkies, I couldn’t be happier with this whelping box. Even though it’s designed for large breeds, the space and build quality make it perfect for giving my Yorkie moms room to relax and safely care for their puppies. The setup was simple, it’s easy to clean, and the safety rails are a great touch — especially for new moms who need a little extra space without risking the pups getting rolled on. The material is sturdy but lightweight enough to move when needed. We’ve used a few other setups over the years, but this one is by far the most reliable and professional-looking. It makes whelping feel organized and stress-free for both mom and breeder. Highly recommend to anyone serious about their breeding program — big or small!

Bought this for my frenchies! Its really sturdy and is easy to clean. I was able to set it up in like 15 minutes without the directions I have six frenchies and they fit perfect in this space. I am thinking about buying another one to make the space larger for playtime and feeding time.

Easy to put together. Sturdy. Material is pvc like plastic and easy to clean. Large enough for a puppy pen for small dogs as they get older. Would buy again.

Easy to put together and super easy to keep clean. My only criticism is that it is hard to put puppy pottie pads inside because when you lift the sides to slip a bit of pad under the uprights to keep it in place, all the horizontal boards start to slide out. It would be great to have a 'keeper' plate on the BOTTOM of each upright as well as the caps that come with the kit. So other than the necessary several times daily replacement of the pottie pads and juggling the boards to keep them in place as I switch pads out, this is a great purchase.

My dog is actually 6 years old but he’s 8lbs so this super lightweight hollow plastic fencing works great to corral him in the kitchen when he’s sick or I need to leave him so a longer stretch of time. I’m disabled so lifting and installing heavy baby gates for 2-3 days a month is too hard for me. This all plastic buildable hollow fencing is perfect for my needs. My dog is indoor trained and has a 6’ 2 door/2 section open cage with sliding barn doors. One section of his cage is his “bedroom” With his bed, blanket, toys and stuffed animals. The 2nd section is his “bathroom” which holds his 2’x2’ disposable potty pads and an area to walk around. I use this buildable fense to extend 4’ out from each side of his open door doggie condo and the remaining pieces to make a straight 6’ fense connecting to the two 4’ sections. This adds 24 square feet to his doggie condo so I can get his food and water bowls in his area and additional room to play. This is truly a great way to contain small dogs and puppies safely indoors that isn’t a workout to build, assembles in 30 seconds or less and stores very compactly when not in use.

These work great for us, though puppies are always a challenge, regardless of whelping box! Lol Wish the bottoms of the connection posts had a rubber bottomed cap for stability. The top cap isn't flat so there's no way to modify yourself and use on the bottom. Flat bottom caps would be a great addition. Add rubber to prevent slipping..WoW. This would be perfect! We start with 1 box for mom and newborns. Expand to using 3 at about 2 weeks, all connected. There are 2 sleep / play areas and 3rd section is feeding/potty tray area as they grow. Love the ability to easily change wall heights as pups grow. By 6 weeks, Goldens aren't contained, but we graduate to a different set up anyway. Smaller dogs could likely this set up until going home to new families. Easy set up, miltiple configuration and height options, Easy clean plastic and sturdy enough for 8-12 large breed pups.

Update: I had previously given this item 5 stars and was considering buying a second one. During my research I found out the PVC is harmful to dogs (including reproductive issues) and I am very confused why anyone would make a whelping box out of this! Do your research before buying! I thought this was a safe product but it looks like it is not! This is what my research found: PVC (polyvinyl chloride), can be harmful to dogs due to the toxic additives it contains. These additives, like phthalates, can leach out of the PVC and be absorbed by the dog, potentially causing health issues. Phthalates are added to PVC to make it flexible. They can be absorbed through the skin and cause damage to the kidneys, liver, and reproductive system. PVC contains chlorine, which can be released over time when a dog chews on a PVC object. Chlorine has been linked to cancer and immune system damage, as well as reproductive and developmental problems. *** This is very lightweight and easy to clean. I like how every corner is able to have multiple attachments so you can make it whatever size you want and whatever combination you want. It is a little hard to move once it is together because there is nothing on the bottom of the legs to keep the walls from falling out the bottom but I have been able to just slide it where I need it since it is so light. I am considering getting a second one so I can expand the area.

We absolutely love this whelping box! As breeders, having a safe, sturdy, and easy to clean space for our puppies is a must, and this box exceeded our expectations. The size was perfect for our mama and her litter, giving everyone plenty of room while still keeping the puppies secure.
