This Is... Icona Pop

I bought this album off the back of the Swedish girls' big hit "I Love It". The rest of the album is fairly good, with some catchy songs such as "We Got The World", "Downtown" and "Wanna B With Somebody".Some of the tracks are ridiculously short though - "Ready For The Weekend" would have benefitted from another verse, instead of a load of nonsense after the 2 minute mark - and I dislike the vocal effect on track 1 which makes it hard to understand what is being sung, especially as the lyrics are missing inside for the second verse! "My Party" is a great alternative version of the Lesley Gore song, but it's ruined by a dreadful by-the-numbers rap by Smiler (who?) which has nothing to do with the theme of the track.Anyway, those gripes aside, it's a solid electro-pop album with a variations of styles. great summer fun music - I really love the hit song, 'i love it' which is why i bought the album and there are a bunch of fun energetic songs. only one song i didn't like. good stuff!
