I have a bad back and use this tool regularly. Works great, picks things up no problem, rubberized for better grip. Only downside is that the material its made of is a *little* flimzy. I will probably have to replace it sooner than I want.

Not super sturdy, but given the price, it works really well, folds up, is lightweight and easy to use. I love it, use it to collect trash near our beach.

Got it out, put it together, couldn’t take the middle apart to make it collapsible because it was stuck and it wanted to take the wrong part off. So that was annoying. I only really used it to reach across my car to put newspapers in tubes on the “wrong” side of the car. It held onto the not too heavy papers like a dream and served its purpose well. Got through work with this for about 4-5 months until, like most of the other reviewers say, the trigger broke right at that sweet spot. When I played with it in my house to pick up or move clothes or to clean up, it worked well. Worked well putting clothes with hangers up in closets. Garbage pick up good. I’m not elderly or with major hand issues, but I can imagine that if you had grasping issues you’d be ok for the things that are not too heavy. If you have a strong grasp, you can manhandle and manipulate things better. But once that trigger breaks you’re SOL. So basically, if it wasn’t made with bad materials, it would have lasted longer, but at the price point it’s at and the abuse I put it through, it is what it is. Surprised it lasted that long to be honest.

Harbor Freight sells a simplified version of this, perpetually on sale for around $2. I used to buy a few ever time I was in the store, because they were so handy to have around to reach for high shelves or pick up things without bending over (which annoys my aging back). But they would routinely break after just a few minutes use; so I decided to look for a reasonable alternative to the cheapies as well as the expensive, industrial versions.So I found this, and I am so far very pleased. It is lightweight and easy to use, and so far it has outlasted every cheap version I have in the house. I plan on buying a few more to keep stashed in the garage and around the house, because they are so handy.

Bought this in anticipation of back surgery after which I was not allowed to bend over for six weeks. Brilliant product. Shape of pincers perfect for picking up everything from jars to coins. (Seriously, it can pick up a dime off the floor. Yesterday I picked up a bran flake that fell on the floor while I was pouring cereal.). I’ve used it to put dishes and silverware in the bottom rack of the dishwasher, for taking out and putting away bowls in low shelves, picking up dropped papers, etc. Lifesaver. The fact that it folds in half makes it super easy to carry between work and home; it fits into my briefcase.The reason I downgraded it to a 3 in overall rating is that the trigger grip is attached to the cable operating the pincers by a small plastic tab that just broke, 9 days beyond Amazon’s return date, and 30 days after I began using it (ie 30 days after my surgery dates). I think the entire trigger mechanism, including where the cable attaches, needs to be made of a lightweight metal such as aluminum.

This grabber is just what I needed for retrieving items that were "lost" behind the couch. One of my grandson thoroughly enjoys dropping stuff back there and I would have to move tables, a rug and the couch to get them out. Sounds easier than it is, the couch is heavy! I've found other ways to use it as well. I no longer have to get out the step ladder to reach things on the top shelf above the washing machine and in the kitchen. It also make a great grandkid pincher! Just in fun, of course! I'm sure I'll find countless ways to use it as it is quite sturdy. It is lightweight and folds for ease of storage.

I was very pleased with this purchase. I use it on my rider mower to pick up sticks that I've missed, so I don't have to get off the mower. It is very sturdy, as it gets some rough use. It can pick up the tiniest of sticks with precision. And it picks up heavy sticks. My mother also used it after her back surgery because she wasn't able to bend over and get things off the floor. This worked well for indoor use as well. Good all around solid, but light weight.

First attempt to get a response was to no avail. This product should be made to last at least 7 or 8 months. I used another brand previously. Hwvr was not able to find it any longer. Nvthls it lasted a year b4 it broke.To Saymeto: This is my first contact delivered through AMAZON: I purchased your grabber product in March 2019. Used it appropriately about 10 times. It has broken today, July 16 2019. I would appreciate a new replacement or my money returned. Please let's talk. Problem: The plastic gunner is what broke. Though it could have been made much more sturdier. ThanksCorrection: I used it at least 20 times during the functioning period.

It’s shocking quality, flimsy design and claws flex when you try to lift a paperback up - I can’t see it lasting. Bought cheap and know why 🤔
