Large 4L Effective Pure Water Distiller w/Stainless Steel Internal Filter

There have been some very minor improvements including (1) better lid to tank seal, and (2) an LED on/off indicating light. Performance is as has been in the past, excellent. The only suggestion would be to design a different style of heat shut off fuse that would be readably accessible and make such a part available. No one does this, hence a possible innovation for the better.

We have appliances like steamers, humidifiers, and steam irons that would rapidly become damaged by our water, which contains a lot of minerals (hard water). Buying distilled water, that has no minerals, is expensive. This machine quickly produces distilled water, and it is easy to clean the scale (i.e., minerals) from the boiling chamber.

Works fine 20min heat up then 2-2.5 hours full

I received and started using this distiller in March 2020. After about 10 pots of water it was scorching the botton of the pot, smelled burnt when I took of the top. I contacted the seller, they replied to wait at least 15 minutes before taking the top off which did not apply because I usually make 2 gallons a day and empty the retainer and start another pot evening or morning. I rinse it out and use a light non abrasive pad on it every time before starting another batch. I tried to return it or get help 2 weeks ago and was told it was too late to return. Can't get help trying to find out about manufacturer warranty. No luck. Read on one review about a similar distiller, same problem, water boils fan is on then it quits, they said to flip the seal. I took seal off cleaned it couldn't flip this one and it quit very quickly. I have had several distillers in the 20 years that I have been distilling my drinking water and this is the first one that only lasted 4 months. Very unhappy with this product!

I have purchased at least 4 of these Chinese distillers through Amazon over the past 12 years. I do not remember the name of the companies which delivered the previous ones, but this model is by far the best one I have ever gotten. As you can see in the photo, this one has a shallow moat around the periphery of the bottom of the tank. I have found that this causes the unit to stop heating while there is still a very small amount of liquid, including the impurities of the source water, in the moat. Consequently, it does not allow buildup of the mineral residue to get baked on to the stainless steel. I have only distilled about 50 gallons of water so far, but I am very optimistic that this design is superior and the unit should last a LONG time.

This was a good investment. Able to make distilled water with little effort. Does take awhile to make but once you add water and plug in nothing to do till it’s finished

Least expensive model I could find but works well. I would prefer a glass caraf. This unit has a plastic jug. It does smell like plastic and as directed, the first gallon should not be used. I made 2 batches and the smell is faint but almost gone. Other units are being sold for over $200. This unit is well worth the price. I'll just recycle my old coffee pot in exchange for the plastic jug.UPDATE: Used a little over 30 days. The unit is now over heating & keeps shutting off. Save your $ & invest in a quality product elsewhere. Too late to return.
