It’s great that the printer uses the special ink and you can buy check paper as well. Getting to that point, not so much. You I put all your banking info to software on-line then subscribe for a cost to basically balance your checkbook on-line.

Can I use a hp 65 mx versa ink cartridge instead of a hp 65ms versa ink cartridge for this printer ?

Yes, but not to print checks. You can use this printer as a regular printer, but checks require a magnetic ink that can be read by the scanners the banks use to speed up the work. I have a reguar cartridge to use for regular printing. I keep my magnectic ink with one of the plastic covers over the end so it won't dry up. I take the magnetic ink cartridge out when I am not using it to print checks because it will dry up while in the machine. I hope this helped.
