Some flaws but a great TV at a low price
I’ve had the TV for a few weeks now and I’m really pleased. I got it on the Bank Holiday sale for £479 which is a bargain for a 55 inch.Is it perfect? No. But if you’re buying for a bedroom like I did, it does the job and I think for this price, what you get is a great budget piece of kit.I think it looks great with a fairly slim bezel of brushed metal. Yes the legs aren’t to the finish of Samsung and LG brands but they still fit the look. I much thinner screen than a lot of TVS over double the price. There is daylight glare on the screen as it could be a little brighter but I’ve seen much worse.Viewing angle in my opinion is great. I’ve not seen any vertical banding that some people have complained about. Yes there is some corner flaring from the side lighting but that’s only very noticeable on grey screens and between bright and very dark scenes. You can do a lot of setting adjustments that will help correct this.4K content looks great. HD upscaling isn’t the level of some high end TVs but I think it does a decent job especially when viewed further away. The only major gripe some people may have is that the OS isn’t a touch on LG or Samsung and can be a little sluggish but it’s a very small sacrifice for such a great price in my opinion. If you use a PS4, Xbox or Apple TV/Amazon Fire then this isn’t an issue at all.Have played a fair bit of Destiny 2 on the TV and it looks and moves beautifully. It enables HDR which I’m still undecided on. Detail is phenomenal but it seems to shift the colours a lot. I think this may be a game developer issue though.Ready player one looked really vibrant on the Tv. With some picture setting adjustments you can great a great pop with the colour.Motion is relatively good. Have only noticed a small judder every now and then but that could be due to streaming 4K.Smart, slim and lightweight remote that does the job it needs to.All in all, I think at this price, you can overlook a few flaws in what is a really good entry level Tv or second Tv.

Is okay - Would I recommend it to a friend? No!
Feedback after using the TV for 1 day at home:The TV is slim and looks gorgeous. Great colours if you’re facing it directly.Images look very washed out from angles. Most disappointingImages moving faster than average gives you a headache – not sure the right term, blur? The TV is not very responsive, 2 seconds delay from a click to change of screen (although volume is fine)Some parts of the TV heat up at timesYou need external speakersI thought it would come with Roku but NOPE.The mobile app is terrible!Family not satisfied but it looks good 2.5/5--Update: Decided to return.. returning has been a pain.. still working on it!Will go back to Currys :(

Really, really disappointing. :(
I bought the 55” version of this TV, I didn’t expect it to be super premium but after some research on the brand and generally good reviews I figured it would be worth a try. Unfortunately there is little to like in day-to-day use.The good:Let’s start with the positives, it’s a large, slim, relatively inexpensive panel, with good build quality. The bad:The OS is poor and buggy. Improved somewhat after software update, but Freeview play was constantly ‘not available’ when trying to launch the UI, it’s a very basic smart interface and the remote is extremely basic, making interacting with the TV a quite frustrating. The built in apps I found to be decent, but buggy. I ended up using an external box for most content watching. The bezel is slim, but there’s an extra 5mm of black screen border inside so kinda pointless. The ugly:The backlight bleed is appalling - huge bright spots in the corners and washed out colours in parts of the screen.Worse, there is some strange juddery software dimming of the backlight that seems to take a while to catch up to the picture and is very noticeable.Brightness is extremely low and in the current weather the screen was near unwatchable due to reflections. This also has the unfortunate effect of also washing out colours and making reds more orange etc at any angle. The stand being so widely spaced also makes it hard to move or angle on a narrow TV stand. The HDMI-CEC control failed to work about 50% of the time. Most recently white static artifacts began appearing on content watched over HDMI around motion in a scene.Ultimately, my old 1080p TV does a better job of displaying content than this with all the trade offs. After making a list of faults I tried to return it and after 2 weeks waiting for a courier who failed to collect I had to arrange to ship the giant box back to Amazon myself. Generally bad experience from opening the box to sending it back.
